DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Bentonville

Suite was very musty, no it what we want to smell all night at a 4 star property. Bathroom shower vent was rusty and shower head escutcheon had fallen off pipe. Everything else was AOK.

Service was excellent. Loved the mattress and pillows.

Hotel has lost its luster. Feels more like a B or C rated hotel not a Hilton affiliated hotel. The rooms need updated desperately. Our shower head was the cheapest plastic you could buy and was leaking to the point it was spraying the ceiling. There are no more perks, such as the executive lounge, drink vouchers. We tried to get a shuttle to a local restaurant but the front desk said they had no driver on a Saturday night. Overall just a mediocre stay at what should have been a little better. I give it a 5 out of 10.

Housekeeping barely knocked at the door, and had I not been right beside it, I may not have heard. She started to open the door before I could answer it and tell her that we were about to leave. She may have considered that it was a 2 room suite, and had I been in the other room, I would not have heard her knock. I was not wearing clothes yet.

Clean and well cared for property

Good location in nice area not too far from downtown restaurants and the Crystal Bridges Museum, the reason for our visit. The wonderful female bartender on duty on the afternoon of Sept 3 deserves a special call out for jumping through hoops to tell us about dining options (we selected eating right there in the end; good burger and spring rolls). Having a Suite was nice, but the bathtub faucet leaked all night (Room 306) with a steady drip, the bathroom/shower needs refurbishing or at least re-grouting, and, most frustrating, there weren’t enough sockets near the beds for our needs (phone re-charging, watch re-charging, CPAP machines). Most hotels have updated their nightstands for these modern requirements.

The hotel was beautiful and very clean. We did experience a few maintenance issues, and in hindsight, we should have requested a room change but chose not to. Overall, the property was well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful except for one interaction that was less than positive. The only real inconvenience was leaving the hotel to the left, as traffic in that direction was often heavy.

Great hotel experience. Double Tree was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Cleaning service daily was a huge plus and great service.
