Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina

Die Wohnung ist groß, komfortabel, sauber. Es gibt ein großes Schlafzimmer mit ensuite Bad im Obergeschoss und ein kleineres Schlafzimmer sowie ein weiteres Bad im Erdgeschoss. Oben gibt es einen Balkon und unten Terrasse mit Gasgrill vor dem Wohnbereich, beide mit Blick aufs Wasser. Den elektrischen Kamin im Wohnzimmer haben wir an den kühlen Abenden sehr genossen.

In der großen Küche war kaum Geschirr vorhanden. Für vier Erwachsene und ein Baby absolut unzureichend! Als wir die lt Inventarliste fehlenden Schüsseln, Schalen und Teller monierten, war der junge Mann an der Rezeption zwar freundlich, fühlte sich aber nicht zuständig. Vom zuständigen Management kam erst gar keine Reaktion und dann nur eine automatische Abwesenheitsmail. Auch das vorbestellte Babybett konnten wir erst nach langem Suchen finden und mussten es selbst aufbauen. Im Carport stand eine stinkende, überquellende Mülltonne. Als wir nach 2 Tagen schon am Verzweifeln waren trafen wir zufällig eine überaus nette Dame vom housekeeping, die zwar nicht für unsere Einheit zuständig war, uns aber umgehend mit dem nötigsten Geschirr versorgte und sogar die Mülltonne entfernte. Dies hat unseren Aufenthalt schließlich gerettet. Schade dass unser Aufenthalt trotz der schönen Wohnung so unangenehm begonnen hat.

Beautiful townhouse with 2 balconies with sea views. Short walk to the jetty where we tool an excursion with Neptune Wildlife Tours. Short drive to Whitty Spit.

The downstairs bedroom it was a two bedroom condo downstairs bedroom, smell musky, and it was a little dark

Check in info was sent 15 mins late and no answer when I tried to call. Floors were wet and soapy when we arrived.

Really liked the separation on each level, the view is spectacular, and the decks were enjoyable as as well as the hot tub

They encourage people to take off their shoes when you first walk in, but with six people in the house, there is not enough room to take off your shoes without stepping on the carpet. The carpet needs to be ripped out and Lino or tile should be added..

It was wonderful in almost every way. The decor and layout of the condo was lovely. It was bright & the ocean views, a bit in the distance, were beautiful from both patios!! The place was very well stocked and exceptionally clean. It's a great location for nature & subtlety. Loved this place!! I would return with family and friends for a retreat.

One thing is to call the Sooke Harbour Resort phone number if your door code is not supplied at check-in; a simple mistake & quickly addressed. Just to know, it'd be helpful to talk to locals about walking & hiking paths. For example, I don’t recommend walking along the main road with high traffic to get to the ocean boardwalk; it's a very narrow path & no sidewalks.
