EXPLOR Mansion - Inclusive Experience

It is an amazingly beautiful villa, well maintained, tranquil and spacious, offering amazing view of the mountain. Mr Stelios and Mrs Stela, who are owners of the villa, are extremely welcoming and respectful. We had email correspondence before our arrival, and the responses are always prompt and helpful. The villa is located in a mountain village about 25 mins driving distance from Heraklion city center and from the airport. You do need a car to get around and in our case, we took taxi everywhere. My family went on holiday during high season in July, as we wanted to avoid the touristic crowd to have quality family time yet have good access to city center, the location was perfect for us and we were happy about the choice. In the morning the villa would offer great breakfast with organic home made food prepared by the hostess and during the evening, Mr Stelios would drive us to nice restaurants in the village and pick us up after the dinner. We stayed in the villa for 5 nights, and even went to Santorini for 2 days. We had such a wonderful and pleasant stay at the Villa. Many thanks to Mr. Stelios and Mrs. Stella make our stay unforgettable. We absolutely loved the place and would love to go back. See you soon! xxxx

This property is run by family and they are very nice and helpful. Its about 30 min drive from airport. Felt very homely and relaxed and they even allow us to stay as late as we like during checkout day. They gave us good reccomendation of local area and attractions.

A wonderful hotel (though in the UK we would call it a traditional Guest House) where the guests are made to feel like family friends. Our room (suite) was very large and despite being anew build contained plenty of character through the use of period furniture and decor. Breakfast was unique and homemade, which was a welcome relief from the predictable cheese, ham, and pastries on offer at seemingly all other hotels. The pool looked inviting however being late October it wasn't warm enough to use but can imagine in the warmer months being a lovely feature, swimming with panoramic views of the olive trees in the valleys. The location of the hotel is quite remote which is great for a restful stay however a rental car is pretty much a necessity as there is no local public transport.

This hotel is exceptional! The rooms were fabulous, the staff were more than attentive and the owners were simply generous and lovely. My wife and I have travelled extensively throughout the Caribbean and, as of late various locations in Europe only at 5 star hotels in the past 20 years. I can say without hesitation that Vergis Epavlis was by far the most accommodating and safe destinations we've been to. The owners not only helped us with directions and itinerary alterations but they invited us to a local feast at their friends home which was near the hotel. Cretan hospitality is something I read of but was not expected- these people really care about their guests! I have never once felt so secure to leave the room unlocked with our money and passports etc. It was simply the most outstanding 5 night stay we could imagine. Incredible view of Crete's largest city, absolutely quietest room and facilties. Possibly the most memorable stay we've had and this is no exaggeration!

Nous avons passé 8 jours dans cet hôtel pour un voyage d'agrément avec mon épouse. Nous sommes arrivés le 3 septembre tard le soir à l'aéroport d'Héraklion où l'hôte nous attendait. Nous avons loué une voiture ce qui nous a permis de visiter l'île à notre rythme : le site de Knossos, le musée archéologique d'Héraklion, la station balnéaire d'Agios Nikolaus et plusieurs plages reposantes dont celle de Lygaria à 10 km à l'ouest d'Héraklion.

All I can say is that this is the best place to stay in all of Crete! It's so beautiful, has the best food and Stella and Stelios are the best hosts ever! We spent the first two nights of our honeymoon here (well one actually, because we missed our flight), and we're so glad we did. Stelios and Stella prepared us the best, most romantic fish dinner ever. We will plan to go back and to stay here again. It beats everything else that is in Crete. This is the best experience ever!

Stella og Stelios har gjort Vergis Epavlis til et helt fantastisk sted, som tilbyder afslappethed og komfort i luksuøse omgivelser. Villaen er placeret helt centralt på Kreta på en lille bjergside og med en fremragende udsigt helt til Heraklion og havet. Bil er påkrævet og ved ankomst til byen er det en god ide at ringe og få instruktioner (stol ikke på Google Maps). Maden på et af de lokale spisesteder har velfortjente en topplacering på Tripadvisor og alle i området er simpelthen så søde. Hermed de bedste anbefalinger – både fra børn og voksne.

Vi boede på dette hotel i forbindelse med vores bryllupsrejse. Vi ville have et privat gemmested uden for meget larm og lidt væk fra byen. Vergis Epavlis var fantastisk. Kæmpe store værelser med eget spa samt stor balkon med udsigt ud over bjergene og vandet. Stella og Stelios (ejerne) er enormt søde og venlige og tager sig af dig som en del af familien. Der er kun 4 værelser så du får en meget privat oplevelse. Perfekt for par eller familier der trænger til ro og afslapning. Det er en god idé at leje en bil da Heraklion er ca. 30 min kørsel væk og den nærmeste strand ca. 35-40 min. Der er en lokal restaurant der laver rigtig god mad i landsbyen tæt på hotellet. Vi spiste der 3 gange og nød det. Her er der også en helt fantastisk udsigt. Vi giver dette sted vores varmeste anbefalinger.

서비스, 가격, 위치, 식사, 객실상태, 풀장, 전망(끝내줍니다), 객실내 자쿠지 등 뭘로 따져봐도 최고의 호텔입니다. 게다가 주인내외가 조만간 호텔경영에서 손을 뗄 가능성도 있어서 더 이상 이 호텔의 최대장점인 주인내외의 친절한 서비스가 영원히 계속될 거란 보장이 없습니다.. 그래서 빨리 가는게 좋을 듯 합니다. 향후 몇 년간은 하신다고는 하는데... 팔고 싶으신 마음도 있는 모양입니다. 두 분 다 연세가 꽤 되셔서.. 일단 도착하면 크레타 현지 과자와 라키 술을 주십니다. 이후 호텔의 이용방법과 주변에 대한 상세한 안내가 진행되구요. 다음날 아침 주인아주머니가 약 30분 정도 크레타 섬에서 볼 거리 즐길 거리 등을 설명해 주십니다. 뭐든 물어보면 다 해결해 주는 서비스...는 그야말로 저희가 어떤 일을 당하든 안심할 수 있을 것 같은 편안함을 주십니다. 바로 위쪽에 Ethimiko라는 타베르나(레스토랑)가 있습니다. 여기 가격은 다른데서 먹은 거의 반값이었습니다. 호텔 주인내외의 친척이 하시는 곳인데 빈말이 아니라 정말 추천할 만 합니다. 그 외에도 장점이 너무 많아 일일히 열거하기 어려울 정도입니다. 단점이 있다면 여길 찾아가기가 어려울 수 있다는 겁니다. 구글맵 절대 믿으면 안됩니다. 대부분의 네비게이션은 이라클리온에서 고속도로를 타고 호텔에 오라고 합니다. 하지만 그 길을 타면 비포장도로로 가는 방법 외에는 없습니다. 호텔 홈페이지에 길이 자세히 안내되어 있습니다. 절대로 그 길대로 가시면 포장도로로 안전하게 도착할 수 있습니다. 이라클리온에서 한번 잘못 접어들면 이 호텔에는 영영 도달하기 어려울 수 있으니 첫 단추를 잘 꿰시기 바랍니다.

In diesem kleinen familiengeführten Hotel sind sie nicht Gast, sondern Freund der Familie! Als Familie mit zwei Kindern wurden wir herzlich empfangen. Jeden Morgen bereitet die Besitzerin persönlich ein wechselndes Frühstück mit lokalen Köstlichkeiten. Tips für Ausflüge und Sehenswürdigkeiten gibt es aus erster Hand. Im nahegelegenen Ort befindet sich eine Taverne die zu vernünftigen Preisen bestes griechisches Essen serviert. Alle großen Sehenswürdigkeiten (Knossos, Phaistos, Strände etc.) sind mit einem Mietwagen auf Tagesausflügen gut zu erreichen. Die Appartments sind sehr großzügig und makellos sauber. Wir können dieses Hotel wirklich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
