"relaxing ambient with great SPA"

"Hotel in need of maintenance"

we went for christmas holidays and were disappointed with the overall experience of the hotel. The water in the swimming pool was too cold to swim and the spa area deserted. If you want to see something of the country it is absolutely necessary to rent a car as the resort is far from everything. Maintenance should also do something about the cigarette butts all over the place. On a positive note the personnel was polite and helpful and the gym well equipped. Also the room was OK.

"Al Nahada Resort"

Very nice hotel, set I. Beautiful surroundings. The location was a little far out but the remoteness of the hotel was definitely worth it. The grounds of the hotel made up for some of the facilities not being abailable.

"Lovely location--very green and lush--and relaxing"

The sense of green and lush landscape is undeniable--built on an old mango farm and really beautiful. However, don't let the hotel's title of spa suggest that you get any of those services (like steam room) as part of the cost of your stay. All of that, with the exception of a lovely swimming pool, is EXTRA and not inexpensive. Food was very good and staff were outstanding. Would recommend on the condition that the spa situation is understood.

the resort is about an hour from Muscat. feels that you are in no mans land as there was not a lot of guests. you have to walk a long way to get any where in the resort. it was not worth the money we paid.

"Very relaxing resort."

The room was run down a bit. The a/c was not working efficiently, and the minibar was not stocked at all. After hoping to get a meal upon arrival only to find out that the restaurant was closed for the night, a snack from the minibar would have been a huge plus. Overall the room was adequate at best however, the rest of the resort more than made up for it. The main restaurant served a delicious buffet breakfast and dinner. We had pizza and pasta for lunch delivered to us poolside, which was both very convenient and 5 star delicious. The rest of the property had a lot of things to do and was quite relaxing and fun. The biggest complaint we had (no fault of the resort or their friendly staff) was that we just didn't have more time to enjoy it. As for the rooms, we also took notice that they are renovating so future visits can be expected to be more comfortable while in the room. Then again, with all the activities and tours that they offer, who would want to stay in their room the whole time. We're already planning another trip to take advantage of their tours that include a trip to the historic Souk and tuna fishing.

"potentially a nice hotel"

Advertised as a spa hotel but lacking in activities to support the claim! My wife booked this hotel since they were offering yoga and other activities and it transpired on arrival none of it was available. The gym was adverstised to be opened at 06:00 which actually opened at 08:00 which had impact on our plans to start the day early. Jacuzzi was shabby and need repairing. Booked the treatment at the spa and not informed of any terms and conditions associated with the chosen treatments but when arrived for the treatment the pricing structure was different and on verbal they agreed one price but after the treatment charged a different price so the whole "spa" experience was extremely "stressful" rather than "relaxing". The breakfast buffet could do with varying alternate days and the chefs need to learn how to cook a basic omelette but be accomodating to customer requirements. I had to tell him how to cook the omelette but he was not pleased! (If they require training, I'm available). All round lack of knowledge on the check-in desk about general tourist information/local knowledge/activities/tourist sites/directions and including their own internal processes on how to check-out which involved 3 different staff to complete! Cleanilness of the hotel grounds could be improved on.

"very comfortable environment, well kept overall"

everything is comfortable and good except, bathroom is too old, hot water won't last for longer than ten minutes. staff at regular hours are very friendly and helpful. i've stayed here many times over the past 5 years, it is well kept, except bathrooms, needs update!!

"Very nice place to stay, facilieties very good."

The only issue is the way the restaurant works. The pace of serving is too fast. Once you have your starter delivered, you hardly get time to finish it, they almost wait at your table to take away your plate and serve the next course.

"Dissatified Guest"

The general service was of a very poor standard, check-in took ages. It lacked maintenance. no water one morning to shower, no electricity one evening, safe in room not working. Every morning breakfast was chaos, they could not cater for the numbers. I will not recommend this resort to anybody. It was my worst stay at any hotel.
