Holiday Inn Chengdu Century City-WestTower by IHG

This was by far the nicest and biggest Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. The service staff was incredibly friendly and thorough and provided top notch service from every staff member from room service, lobby staff and the cleaning maids. The breakfast here was incredible and huge as far as selection goes! They had live music multiple nights during our stay in the lobby lounge. The only reason this isnt getting 5 starts is because the air conditioning was managed by the hotel and our room like many of the other rooms in our group was just way to warm for us. The hotel did try and remedy this with a portable AC but unfortanely was still way to warm for us at night. If they could remedy the AC not sure if its a government thing or city thing or if the hotel has any control over it at all, it easily would have awarded them a 5 star review. I would still reccommend this place to all who visit the area :).

I stayed here as part of the World Police and Fire Games. Rooms are spacious enough with helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast variety and other eating and drinking options (Noodle Bar) great value. Close to other restaurants and bars in the Century City area.

Room is large and clean, facilities are well equipped. Good locations with restaurants and convenient stores close by. Reasonable walk to subway station and parks.

This is one of the best hotels I stayed. Next to the technical center, nice restaurants nearby. Quiet, roomy, excellent attention. Easy transportation to all the city. Beautiful places to visit (panda rescue center is the most admired).

禁煙部屋を頼んでおいたのに喫煙部屋になって残念でした。スタッフはあまり英語が喋れず、中国語できないとなかなか苦労しました。

This was my 4 th stay ,reason enough to say that I am so happy with the services and food of the Hotel .Management is professional with General Manager Mr Chen taking keen interest.Immaculate service with staff and Managers ready to help and go out of way to serve you ;reason for my 4th Stay in this Hotel. Breakfast -Awesome Lavish spread not seen in many of similar Hotels I have stayed across the world. Immaculate Room and Laundry Service. Rooms beautiful , large ,very clean and upkept with grace .Bathroom very comfortable withTub as well Shower enclosure..High Quality Toiletries .Club Lounge serving best of dishes and Liquor! GM takes keen interest and open to suggestions.Special Word for Manager Amber ,pleasing personality follow ups Guest to make them feel comfortable during stay.All Managers speak English .At Breakfast staff promptly attends to you .I think credit goes to the GM in managing the Hotel so professionally that you feel warmth of a Home with Positive vibes running through .A must stay for all those attending the exhibition across at the Center.For convenience Hotel provides Complimentary Shuttle service too ! I stayed here for 6 nights for a conference. Our conference venue was just at the adjacent hotel about 200 meters away. The staff at the check in counter were accomodating. However some of Hotel staff do not speak or understand english so they have to call out one who understands or can converse in english. I have a comfortable room with a nice view of the city buildings at the distance and an old style chinese architecture of the shops below. The food were great with a variety of western and eastern dishes. The staff at the restaurant were great. Overall it was great that I stayed in this hotel. Just a reminder for those who are entering China that most of the social media application are not working. You might need to download an application to be able to use social media apps such as FB, Viber and FB messenger. Most of the shops or stores only accepts union pay credit cards.

The hotel is massive. There is also one called the east tower but hardly has any dining options however of all the options only the noodle house had some clients. The Thai and sky bar were locked up with chains. Rooms are tired. Bathrooms tiny. Even though I had an upgrade. I cannot imagine how small the standard rooms will be. Service however is very friendly and breakfast selection is more than average. I believe they're starting with a renovation which would be good news. Till then I wouldn't come back but opt for the intercontinental opposite from here
