Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bellevue -Omaha Area- by IHG

I had a reservation at the Holiday Inn Express in Bellevue on a recent Friday evening. The staff at the front desk seem frazzled, but friendly enough when they checked us in. However, when we got up to our room I used the key they gave me and opened the door to find a trashed room with someone laying in the bed watching TV. Awkward.. I went back down to the front desk and they were surprised and confused that the room was occupied, even having to call up to that guest to confirm they were there. They apologized profusely and after some further confusion moved me and my family into what they believed to be their last available room for that night. I skeptically took the key and went up to that room, and found it trashed as well. At least no one was in there that time.. At that point I went back to the desk and requested a cancellation and full refund. The staff offered to clean the second room while we waited, but after seeing the condition that it was in I had no interest in putting my family in there after a rushed turnover, so I insisted on the refund, loaded everyone back up in the van and found another hotel that had room for us instead.

The beds were comfortable and the cleanliness was good. So many things i had an issue with. Hot tub broken and was never notified, ants in the window sill where we tried to sit to eat breakfast the only workong exterior door that worked was the main entrance. Had to get my keys replaced due to issues when activated. Upstairs neighbors were a huge issue. Loud and literally shook my whole room. Not very impressed for the price i paid. My total through expedia.com said just over $300 for the stay and i eneded up paying close to $400. Not happy.

Rubber threshold was kicked off going into room. The shower head control on the spigot was hard to pull up. Thought I was going to pull plumbing out of the wall. Pool water was cloudy not sure if it should have been. Kids swam once and didn’t feel it was clean. Television did not work called front desk and they suggested unplugging something in the back. Still did not work but no one checked to see if we had it working.

Breakfast was great. The location was really nice too. It was pretty, and it was very close to many restaurants. Also a Walmart and a Menards were not far away either.

The staff was great, but it would have been better to have a few more people to handle customers checking in.

Clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast options.

Our bathroom sink was partially plugged and we advised the staff the next morning and was told it would be fixed but it wasn't.
