Holiday Inn Express & Suites Wharton by IHG

Barhtub switch didn't work. Wanted to relax!

Staff was nice and helpful. Hotel is located across the highway from Buccees - helpful for purchasing any food or forgotten items. Whataburger is alsonright next door.

Breakfast was good. The room was spacious and comfortable.

I was disgusted by the lack of attention and overall compassion of your the desk. As we walked into the hotel my son called me to say DONT COME to school there was a shooting incident and it was on lockdown. This is TRAUMATIZING as it is , and the front desk person clearly did not care a bit. I tired to cancel my booking so I could go straight back home, and he didn't give a S%^&* he told me to contact Hotel.com to cancel for a refund. I have protection on my booking and it was shocking how no one gave a dam to make sure I got a refund!!! I plan to review both of these experiences on google, and hope no one else has to meet with the same cold uncompassionate response

The nicest front entry lounge and breakfast room I’ve ever experienced. Several breakfast choices; appreciated the decaf coffee. Spacious room and bathroom- new tub/shower. Comfortable bed and chair. Manager and staff very helpful.

Lamps were a bit old and difficult to turn on and off. Fridge was set too cold and had no visible control to lower temp. Price a little high for Wharton.
