"Good"

I stayed over the holidays to visit family and there were multiple issues. No hot water on Sat from 11-5 pm, house keeping was very loud in the halls in the morning, and one of my food insulated bags was either thrown out of taken. It was on top of the dining table in the room when we went down for breakfast and came back and it was gone.

"Service hit and miss."

We stay at Holiday Inn a lot and although the hotels are clean and convenient, the service isn’t consistent across the hotels we’ve been to. Sometime the service is great and sometimes the service is mediocre. The hotel room at Wharton was spacious and very clean. Sadly, the service wasn’t the best. No friendly greeting, We needed to use the laundry and needed quarters to operate washing machines etc, I asked reception and the lady at the desk said she if she gave me some quarters she wouldn’t have any left for herself.. I asked her advice on how to get some and she suggested I go across to the burger place of which I did, but they wouldn’t give me any either. On my return, I mentioned that I didn’t have any luck at the burger place and the lady at reception didn’t even respond. On checkout, another lady at reception barely acknowledged us which was kind of disappointing. We’ve been to this hotel before and the service was good. We love staying at Holiday Inns because the rooms are generally so spacious and clean. The only problem across the chain is the inconsistencies with customer service. I would still recommend you try this hotel but if you want to use laundry, , take some quarters and be open minded when it comes to the service.

The only nicest hotel in Wharton.. the room and amenities are great except our cupboard smelled like someone urinated inside, and the coffee machine in our room was broken.
