Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Charleston - North by IHG

There was a man sitting on the curb in the parking lot. Not causing trouble. Just looked sad and had bags with him. But still some unease about that until getting inside the hotel.

Requested two queen beds, initial room was one king. Had to change rooms.

Staff was very friendly

The breakfast advertised was to serve at 6AM, we had to wait till 6:30, causing my men to be late to work.

Clean

Breakfast needs to include more than just coffee and juice for drinks and I was disappointed we were put in a room on the first floor by the breakfast area so it was really loud. The people above us were super loud. I had literally asked for a quiet room because we are literally sleeping and leaving. We got there at like 9 o’clock and we left at 6:30.

I feel like I have been robbed! Tried to cancel 2 weeks ago and was told there was no record of my reservation. I was sent back and forth from the hotel to the company I made the reservation through and back and forth and back and forth. My card was charged anyway and now no one wants to take responsibility for the mix up or lack of doing their job. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!! IS THERE A SCAM GOING ON? I WILL REPORT TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!!!! YOU WILL NOT JUST KEEP MY MONEY. THINGS HAPPENED AND I FOLLOWED THE PROCESS!!!!

The man at the counter was amazing his name was Don. Our a/c wasnt working he got us ficed right up. My inly complaint wa when were changing rooms the housekeeper manager was a little testy, as we carried some hangers and towels from old room to new room and she she demanded the hangers feom the new room so they could have for old room. Then the next day we didn't want our room cleaned and i asked for some new towels and she demanded the dirty towels. I get people steal but not all of us do ao i felt shw was a little agressive. Otherwise everything was great. Even a sweet little calico cat mascot in the parking lot they said they have taken care if for over 9 years. She was a cutie!
