Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Bethlehem by IHG

There were several issues throughout my stay. I was not informed beforehand that breakfast required an extra payment, which was frustrating. The room had a very strong, unpleasant odor, almost like something old or stale, and it made the space feel unclean. I also found hair in my son’s waffles, which was unacceptable—especially for a child. When I approached the staff about it, the employee acted standoffish, as if I was exaggerating, instead of apologizing or helping. The pool area was also extremely disappointing. The indoor pool didn’t feel heated at all, the water smelled odd, and there was a lot of hair floating around, which made it clear it hasn’t been maintained properly. The chlorine was very thick, and the air in the pool area had a strange smell. There were no towels available, and it looked like the area had not been cleaned in a while. The hot tub got warm but didn’t filter properly, the water didn’t seem clean, and the jets didn’t work. Overall, the staff came across as rude and uninterested when concerns were brought up.
