"Meets expectations"

Good enough for a one night solo stay. With HIEx you know what you get - clean and functional room with a comfortable bed and a decent breakfast, all for a reasonable price. Room has standard HIEx features with TV, heating/aircon, desk, WiFi (a little slow in my room), bathroom with shower, and clothes hanging space. There is no minibar/fridge. Breakfast at this hotel was almost identical to the breakfast I had my previous HIEx stay in Lincoln, pretty good and whilst not the most extensive hotel breakfast buffet, there’s something for everybody. One thing to note is that some rooms are quieter than others with some rooms facing onto a quite busy road as I found out to my cost. My originally allocated room had an interconnecting door to another guest room which is something I really don’t like due to noise issues experienced in the past at other hotels. I am a light sleeper so need a quiet room. I asked for a different room and was allocated a different room but on the other side of the hotel corridor, this room looked out onto the dual carriageway road and whilst the traffic did diminish during the night, there was traffic running most of the night. So, if you are a light sleeper or are disturbed by even slight road noise, ask for a room away from the road.

Great stop over, clean rooms, good food, friendly and professional staff, highly recommend to all, great hotel at a good price, it was not what I was expecting. I would definitely recommend and pay a return visit. We had an evening meal, Chilli which was lovely. Breakfast was good with unlimited tea and coffee and quite a broad selection of choice from cereal to cooked

We needed a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced hotel for a one night trip to an experience day. This hotel was perfect. Very friendly staff, free parking and an excellent breakfast. Highly recommend for a no frills but super hotel. Thanks to all.
