Wanshang Garden Hotel

Overall it is excellent. My only complain is shower stall. Water is leaking underneath the shower door.

Third time coming here for business . Excellent service, great food, and clean room with good view. Walking distance to the biggest shopping mall in the area with lots of options of food. Two floor gym with two swimming pools, one for swimming and one for hot spring with massage device. Good place for relaxing, loving it. The food is great, can’t complain about it. Front desk are really helpful, excellent service for sure. Overall, top choice for business and travel with family or friends.

We were placed in this hotel by our tour company. The hotel was clean, and mostly comfortable. The bed was pretty hard and literally felt like we were sleeping on a wooden board (a bit of a shock the first night, but I guess my back got used to it the remainder of our stay there). The room didn’t have any decent sized drawers that you could put clothes in, so we left our socks, underwear, and kids clothing in our luggage. The bathroom didn’t have a bathtub, but the shower was pretty big and had both a large shower head and handle. The breakfast was excellent. It had both Asian and Western foods. I enjoyed a nice bowl of wonton soup and pork dumplings each morning. The main issue we had at this hotel was the lack of staff members who spoke English. I understand this is a Chinese hotel, but being in the hotel industry I’d expect them to at least understand the basic words (such as check-in, water, soap). There was only one woman at the front desk that spoke a decent amount of English (I believe her name was Leh), but sometimes I did have to repeat myself when asking her questions. When trying to check-in, the woman who didn’t understand a word of English first just stared at me, then ignored me. There is a supermarket about a block away called Carrefour. It’s in the basement of the mall, and is a little hard to find. You have to find the right escalator that will take you down to that floor, the elevators do not go to that floor. Since most people in Beijing don’t speak English, they didn’t seem to understand when we asked for Carrefour, but did understand when we typed in “supermarket” into our translating app.

I purchased the deluxe king size bed room, however, when I checked in, I was told that all the deluxe King size room was taken. The manager asked whether can I top up xx per night to upgrade to a super vip king size room. I rejected because I will have difficulties explaining to my boss about the extra cost. During my stay, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. The room to me was a nice size considering I'm the only one in it. I love bed that was hard, and this is the only hotel that uses hard bed. I was told later when I checked out that the manager who served me during my checked in, did a free upgrade to the super vip King size room for me. Overall the staff were friendly, except for 1 or 2 who doesn't have a lot of smiles. I got a feeling they are just temp staff that the hotel hired. The nearest plaza will be Wanda plaza, which will take 20 mins by foot. There are some small stalls surrounding the hotel, so if you are lazy to walk to wanada plaza, can have quick dinner or buy some snacks at those surrounding stalls.

The service is good, even though the staff didn't understand English, they tried their best to help us. It was bit difficult to communicate with the reception, but they tried hard to help us. They have arranged our breakfast for take away, as we have to leave our hotel early in the morning around 6am. Over all fantastic experience.

Great helpful staff, always willing to go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. Clean and comfortable rooms. Extremely poor WiFi

Good location, very big shopping mall near by. very convenient to super market. lots of restaurant surround hotel. Very busy hotel, the Concierge are very helpful and with smile at all time. fount desk staff are very friendly. but the breakfast don't have much choices, but its just OK. we couldn't use the google service and YouTube when you connect hotel WiFi . lovely garden good lobby Bar and nice Gym.

The staff is great! The carpet in our room was significantly stained. Nice size king bed that doesn’t let you forget you’re traveling in an Asian country. They are quite HARD if you are used to beds in North America or Europe

small dark, not clean room , needs repairs and update urgently, carpets and windows very dirty, noise from lifts opposite the room, slow service, but helpful in reception( not good with english). Suitcase rack broke into pieces under my suitcase. The food and service in the Cafe (exception breakfast) was horrible: one of 2 main courses was forgotten, then after 40 min. a wrong dish served, the pizza was commercial from a fridge and half uncooked and slimy...( I had a chinese partner on the side, so no misunderstanding with language) . And they still charged half for the food. fully for 2 beer) Very unprofessional and insecure with serviceattitude. Unskilled?? JK
