Eden Roc Resort - All Inclusive

Amazing hotel but the cleanliness is not the best.

We stayed in the 800 swim up pool suites , these were very spacious for the 3 of us and we loved having our own bar and cafe so we did not have to fight crowds. The resort as a whole is very tired, they are extremely short on staff which is not nice when you pay the money we did. only 1 bar tender most days at each bar and long lines. Buffet food awful some of the restaurants are good. The entertainment need help, its OK. The entertainment staff don't do much, they all stick together. if they got people more involved it would be better. No music and very little activities by the pools. The salt water pools are salter than the ocean and I did not like that at all.

This place said they did the resort up but that was not true, even the staff said nothing had been done yet. the pitches for the kids was a joke as well as the volley ball, it was rocky and hard. no one was really on it. The buffet food, the meat was way over cooked and was like rubber.

Such an amazing experience! I have to say that all the staff at the hotel was welcoming and very kind but The reception team is extraordinary!they were amazing! I’m pregnant with a little baby and they helped us so much and they were just so kind to us! The restaurants were amazing and the food quality was high!

Location, staff and the food

We where 3 persons in a 2 bed room with an extra bed. The extra bed was very simple, like a camping bed. Worn and uncomfortable. Didn’t expect that at a hotel like this. Besides that the hotel and location is 10/10. Second time for us at this hotel

We faced many issues when we first arrived at Eden Roc at 1am which weren't addressed until the next day by Rena (one of the complex managers). Rana listened to our concerns and was proactive in supporting and rectifying these. If it wasn't for her, the holiday would've been a disaster as, she offered us lounge access and massages. The massage by Rea was lovely. Nikos at Lounge 800 is fantastic, makes fantastic drinks and has great service - he helped us get through the holiday, this is the heart of the hotel and brilliant. Emanouela was very kind and bubbly too as well as Dimitris on the bar was also very sociable. The bbq was great and the restaurants were mostly really lovely although, they usually only let you order 1 item each which is strange as we wanted to share a few dishes (and it is an all inclusive after all). I messaged the hotel a few times beforehand to book the restaurants as I read they get booked quickly and they did do this which is a massive help. Evening entertainment was good but, there was little seats available.

We had no offer of a drink on arrival at 1am. This certainly isn't a 5* hotel and would be a borderline 4*. When we arrived, our room (supposed to be a sea view double) was not a sea view and had two single beds - a great way to celebrate your anniversary. Entry to the room was blocked by the cleaning cart and left like this all night which is a health and safety and fire risk. To make matters worse, our in room phone did not work. There was also no water in the room or, fridge despite being a heat wave. The chair in the room (726) was dirty and full of leaves. The walls had marks all over them and there were hair and bugs in the bed. There were stains on the sheets and no beach towels. There was a fly splatted on the slide, no bath, no slippers and the door knob wobbled. The mini fridge is filled with a few cans and doesn't get filled up again and if you want it to, you pay for it. There was dust everywhere. We were told the room was going to have a deep clean but, on day 3, the fly remained. We were moved rooms on our fourth day to a sea view which was thankfully, a lot cleaner (426). However, after showering, I noticed I was using a towel that had old blood (I assume) marks splattered all over it. At this point, I didn't bother reporting it as, the cleaning was abysmal. The double bed had a filthy topper on it and the door had a huge gap under neath it too. The balcony was not cleaned at all. There is also no room service. Cocktails (besides the lounge) are made with syrup and very sugary. Queues for the bar can get long. There are no fans in the outside restaurants so, it can be uncomfortable eating in 30 degree weather with no wind and something to be aware of. Pool toilets weren't clean and were overflowing except for Lounge 800 which were great. The 1 hour beach towel policy isn't adhered to and on one day, there were no beach towels available. The hotel needs more staff, better cleaning and better facilities. I wouldn't return.
