Holiday Inn Express & Suites Carrollton by IHG

The entire building was being remodeled. I was charged full price for a literal construction zone. Room was not cleaned. Smelled like wet dogs and feet. I know it wasnt swept in the bathroom because i found an earring with its back in the floor. It was real 14k gold and pearl. I turned it in to the front desk after 5 minutes of being in my room. I was told i would have to go to another company's hotel to use the gym. They didnt even have their own room keys. They ran out and had to borrow from a completely different hotel. I get charged 300bux for 2 nights for what?! Only to be awoken by housekeeping beating down the door like they are Marshalls serving a warrant. Absolute worst stay i have ever had. When they dropped my bill off i find out expedia took a 75 dollar cut on 2 nights? Even the front desk said they would have juat called to get a better rate because of construction. Is she serious?? How could i have possibly known that they would have scrambled eggs stacked on dirty shelves in the same room where the gym used to be? I certainly hope the gym was disinfected before food was served out of it. Judging by my room... Slim chance. In closing, i will never use Expedia or Holiday Inn again.

They are still doing renovations while we were here, but had the breakfast area going still, and lots of nice updates to the hotel. Nice clean rooms, large bathroom and quiet rooms.

We use Holiday Inn Express quite often when we travel because you can count on them to be nice. Not this one! Old and not nice. Tub was ancient and porcelain cracked, carpet old smelled bad etc. Don’t stay here

Several issue's with staff and the cleanliness of room and noise, staff not concerned about customer complaints, very disappointed since I travel regularly and expect more value and better service. a few points which never arrive does not make service improve and excuses from management at this property.

The hotel was under construction- everything in the lobby was covered in plastic. Then, the phone in our room was disconnected. People in the room beside ours were screaming and yelling at each other. Finally, housekeeping made their rounds at 8 am.

This hotel was great. Everything was clean, the staff were quick and courteous, and the room was perfect. The pool was really nice and the breakfast was amazing. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the area.

BED BUGS!!!!! stayed one night and woke up and found a bed bug on my pillow. Time to go!!

The room was nice and the evening staff very friendly. Their breakfast was plentiful and well stocked, just a little bland. I had a question about my bill so I spoke to the general manager on duty the next morning. She was borderline rude and not very helpful. Her poor attitude didn’t reflect well on the hotel. However everyone else was so nice and friendly that I would stay there again.

Any time we would go to the front desk, we ended up having to wait for several minutes because no one was at the desk. They’d come in from outside smelling of smoke each time. We specifically put in we wanted a hotel with and pool and when we got there, the pool was closed for renovations. However, nice hotel room with comfort. Good hot/cold breakfast. Better than most we’ve been to
