The Hotel was very well maintained, had an excellent breakfast and helpful staff. Katrina was helpful to us on the third floor with our room. Would recommend if you are staying in the area .

The staff was very nice and welcoming. The room was nice and spacious with comfortable beds. There were some cleanliness issues within our room. I saw some old hair and dirt in the bathroom, but other than that we had a great stay!

There was coffee, ice tea, lemonade, cookies, and fruit available in lobby when we arrived. Comfortable sitting area in lobby Nice large room with comfy fainting couch/ chaise lounge.. Great breakfast. Nice size pool. Excellent shower size and water pressure. Plenty of convenient parking.

Dehumidifier in pool area was waiting for replacement and the circulating pump had problems.

The shower door did not close and I asked at the front desk if they could fix it so the bathroom didn't flood. They stated they don't have maintenance on the weekends. The key cards repeatedly stopped working. The rude front desk woman said "well stop putting them by your phone". They were not near the phone I told her, she rolled her eyes

When We arrived at the hotel at 10:30pm to check in after traveling all day, they had cancelled our reservation. I had called the day before to confirm and all was good and we are also a IHG awards member. They said they called earlier in the day to cancel but we had no service where we were to get the message. They said they overbooked the hotel so they had no choice. I had made my reservation almost 3 months in advance and the front desk lady said the hotel sold out a couple day before our arrival. This is not ok to do to people traveling with their kids when you have a confirmation. All other hotels were booked in Westen also, so we had to drive back from where we came from 30 minutes to get a hotel. That hotel was amazing and were so helpful. The Holiday Inn in Westen WV not so much!! If you make a reservation be careful. They will cancel on you because they overbook their hotel!!!
