Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Detroit-Utica by IHG

I liked the location and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was SO good to my family and was involved in knowing about my daughter and how she did at her dance competition- they celebrated with her for every win!

The single elevator, but even that wasn’t bad

Great stay, a little disappointed in that location. It’s our second time staying there and both times we had issues with check in of our rooms. The first time we were not able to check in until about 3 hours after check in time and this time the type of room we booked was overbooked, so we weren’t able to get the room we had booked. We love the Holiday Inn Express chain. We stay at them quite often. Just disappointing check ins back to back at the same location. Great hotel and great staff otherwise.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. My daughter and her family stayed here this week and a day later was charged for mirror damage they did not cause. When management was questioned, they could not provide pictures with time and date stamp and mirror was still there 36 hours after they checked out. Son in law was let back in the room to see and you can see where the mirror slid off the wall. Manager said they don’t make incident reports and he had photos with time stamp but was “too busy to deal with it right now”. This is unacceptable. My daughter had no emails or calls from them just a charge to their card. This is unacceptable. This hotel gets defensive if questioned and my son in law asks for documentation that they caused it. Avoid this hotel so you don’t get charged for something you did not do

Had to switch rooms 3 times. Asked to be put on the same floor as family was not able to. Staff really nice and helpful. Overall stay was not a pleasant one. Will most likely never return.

Friendly staff. Great breakfast

The hotel in general was good. My only complaint is that the south entrance card reader did not work and as a result, I had to walk all the way around to the north entrance just to be able to get to my room. That was a bit inconvenient, but other than that, my stay was good.

I love this hotel when we travel out of the Indianapolis airport. The hotel is very clean and accommodating with your travel needs. There is a restaurant and bar on property and they keep your coffee and tea well stocked. The staff is very professional and quick when checking you in.
