Nothing, I liked the whole experience.

​My experience at the Holiday Inn in Quincy, Illinois, was unacceptable from start to finish. While recently renovated, the problems here run deep. The good news stops at the lobby. The d​ecor is attractive​. ​The restaurant and bar are surprisingly decent — a notch above typical hotel dining​.​ Locals actually co​me to drink and eat. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. ​Here were my issues: 1. Outrageous “No Locals” Policy This hotel refuses to accept guests who live within 100 miles of Quincy — an absurd rule that isn’t disclosed when booking through IHG. That radius includes Springfield, ​Illinois; Columbia, ​Missouri; and even parts of St. Louis. Guests discover this only upon arrival. It’s discriminatory, unprofessional, and indefensible. 2. Bathrooms Left Out of Renovation The renovation didn’t include the bathrooms. My suite’s shower had visible mold and mildew, proving housekeeping and maintenance standards are not being met. 3. Misleading “Breakfast Included” Rate Booking a breakfast-included rate gets you only a $10 voucher, which doesn’t cover ​the cost of a real breakfast. Guests expecting a full meal are left paying extra. This is deceptive​ if not outright fraud. 4. Disturbing Privacy Breach The worst issue: someone entered my room while I was out. When I returned, my belongings had been moved — shoes, clothes, toiletries, electronics, everything. ​My suitcase was standing upright and clothes that were spread about or hanging in the closest were back in the suitcase. The front desk ​did some investigating and discovered that housekeeping had been told to move me to a different room and began packing my things before realizing their mistake. ​Someone should have called me before this happened. Let alone inform me upon arriving. Did they think I wouldn't notice? Rooms also lack ​in-room safes, leaving guests unable to secure valuables. Though nothing was stolen, it was a serious violation of privacy. ​A​s compensation, I received 50,000 IHG points and a comped dinner, but that doesn’t make it acceptable. 5. Poor Operations Aside from that, cleaning was inconsistent — hair on the bathroom floor, towels not replaced, water and toiletries not restocked. The hotel was sold​-out for two weddings but had only one person at the front desk, phones ringing unanswered, and a nearly empty lobby market.​ It took five separate phone calls to get the front desk to answer the phone. Emails to the general manager went unanswered. The lobby pantry off the side of the front desk was mostly empty. You couldn't even buy a bottle of water. Bottom Line: This Holiday Inn may look nice, but it’s poorly managed, dishonest about ​breakfast, and careless with guest privacy. Stay somewhere else​. You’ll thank yourself later.

The service from the resturant wasnt all that great Took 15 min to seat then 20 min to order and an hr to get out food when they werent busy at all. Brunch time frame.
