Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jacksonville by IHG

Somewhat to be expected. Elevator broken. Toilet would not flush. Carpet was dirty.

Convenient to locations visited

Non-working elevator& pool. Poorly trained front desk staff.

We had no working elevator in the hotel. Also our toilet in the room did not flush. They knew about it and still had us stay in the room. We could not change rooms because they said they were full, yet half of the parking lot was empty. Their solution was to have us go down to the main floor and use the lobby restroom. Again, with no elevator.

Worst Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed in. Carpet in room badly stained, all over. Side security door to outside did not lock. Broken chair in room. Soiled (not stained, soiled) bed cover. Badly made beds with wrinkled sheets, looked as though they had been slept in. Rotted bathroom floor under old vinyl, felt like I was going to fall through to the room below. Coffee maker sat on top of microwave, on top of mini fridge, no cabinet. Elevator not functioning, had to carry bags up two flights of stairs, Every single piece of furniture had peeled off veneer. Very loud plug in fan at end of hallway as the air conditioner there was not working. No ice except at reception desk. Musty smell in hallway and room. Front reception person was complaining and unpleasant. I will say that the landscaping was well kept and tidy. I have stayed at many great Holiday Inn Express hotels, this was not one of them. Very over priced for an awful stay.

Hotel has a lot of issues. Stayed three nights and room was never serviced. Had to go to front desk to get clean towels and ask for room to be cleaned and it still wasn’t done. Pool and elevator were both out. They claim they are waiting on a part for the pool but it’s been months since it had worked. They claim a storm caused the elevator issue. It just looks like they could care less about the entire facility.

Everything was quick and pleasant.

The elevator was knocked out during a storm and remained closed the entire 4 days. Never saw anyone come to look at it or try to fix it even though we were told someone was coming the very morning we checked in. The pool was also closed, kind of a bummer. Other than that, we really enjoyed the place

We had a major issue with my mother's room and the manager took action and took care of it. We appreciate it!

Very low water pressure and no hot water in shower. Pancake machine not working, and no low fat white milk available. Condition of room and hotel in general were below average.

Shower bench in handicap bathroom broke while my husband was getting out of shower. No room service. Told front desk I was informed only 1 maid on duty. Just excuses. Room filthy, mold around base of shower, cobwebs in corners. Drapes absolutely filthy, deteriorating. Had to ask for clean towels. Will not return. This particular locale is not up to or even close to what is advertised. Didn’t even stay the full time we had reserved.

Overall it was good. We only had one bath towel for the two of us. Didn’t realize until the morning we left. For breakfast, with so many people eating and you only had a single-serve kuerig for coffee? And it takes 3-4 minutes to brew. I expected more. And the pillows on the bed were so soft, too soft. Even with two, it was uncomfortable.
