InterContinental Century City Chengdu

Great & comfortable room and excellent hotel. Great lobby bar and few restaurants. House keeping and breakfast staff excellent.

Small shop at the hotel should be able to accept credit cards but it is a minor issue. Exchange office is at the reception.

Beautiful place. Amazing food. Gorgeous staff (women and men alike) and all are kind and respectful and clean and helpful. All have translation apps and try genuinely their best to communicate in English with me without sounding like it's a chore. One recommendation I would add is clear restaurant sifns\brands labels with map guide with "you are here" markers\checkpoints. I spent hours trying to find the entrance to the cafe and Italian Bistro after already trying the 5th floor restaurants. And the hotel is huge. If there was supposed to be a trail outside, o couldn't find it due to lack of signs. But i am only nitpicking because I needed any excuse to enjoy the lazy 5 star life instead of walking around :)

Well, definitely appreciate all the detailed attention Jin Jin, Richard and the team service is efficient and appreciated. The Intercontinental Century City team work hard day and night to check in various guests and large groups consistently. They've made me feel like a second family and I highly recommend them if you're visiting Chengdu in the future! They've upgraded me at various times which is appreciated too!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at InterContinental Century City Chengdu, where I booked the Executive 1-Bedroom Suite with Club InterContinental lounge access. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the contrast between the hotel's modern exterior architecture and the rich, traditional Chinese design inside. Stepping into the lobby and my suite felt like being transported into an ancient Chinese palace, with stunning intricate woodwork, elegant décor, and a warm, cultural ambiance. My Executive Suite was incredibly spacious (108 sqm), featuring panoramic city views, a deep soaking tub, a separate living area, and luxurious Byredo amenities. Every detail was well thought out, making my stay both comfortable and indulgent. One of my favorite parts of the hotel was the beautiful tea house located just above the breakfast restaurant. Even though it was indoors, the design—with trees, shaded areas, and ornate details—made it feel like a tranquil outdoor retreat. The gym was quite large and well-equipped, perfect for maintaining a fitness routine. While the property doesn't have a pool, it makes up for it with a full-service onsite spa for relaxation. Plus, its prime location next to the Chengdu Century City Convention Center makes it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers. Overall, I loved my experience here—elegant, comfortable, and rich in culture. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chengdu!

This is a fascinating hotel! The lobby is clean and bright, and the staff are warm and generous! The overall decoration style also reveals little surprises everywhere! It is a hotel worth recommending! The only drawback is that the shower head leaks! The quality of the hotel lies in the details! I hope you will continue to work hard

Facilities, service and hygiene is good.

I am content with the service and facility at your hotel. However, seeing cockatiel parrots being confined to such small round cages in the dining area is heartbreaking. 1. Parrots are highly sociable animals. They need humans or other parrots' company. They will suffer from depression in the long run due to loneliness. They may even pluck their feathers when they experience depression. I do not think it is a good idea to display hairless parrots at your hotel. 2. Small round cages can be detrimental to parrots' psychological health. They will feel like they are never getting anywhere. Parrots generally need bigger and vertical cages. 3. The temperature is too low for birds. On one morning during my 4-night stay, the air conditioning is too cold in the buffet area. I could see the parrots puffed up their feathers (a sign of feeling cold) and became inactive. Poor birds! I guess displaying parrots in the buffet area is to decorate and create vividness, but please also consider animal welfare. In recent years, increasing concern on animal welfare has been raised. As an internationally renowned hotel, I guess many of your guests are well-educated, intelligent, and hence concerned about social issues. I sincerely hope the InterContinental will take immediate action on this issue. I will be grateful if you can write back to me.
