Candlewood Suites Lincoln by IHG

Very friendly and clean, Quiet neighborhood. The structure is obviously not brand new, but not run down either. This wasn't our first nor last time staying here.

Booked online. Chose this property because of close proximity to destination. Facility dated and not well maintained. Elevator door make loud noise each time it closed. Check in was poor. Person at desk asked the same questions for each of two rooms. “Would you like a late check out?” If I did not need late check out on first room I didn’t need on second room! I reserved 2 rooms each with 2 queen beds. During check in I clarified that both rooms were 1 queen beds. My in laws went to first room then I checked into second room. In laws went to their room and it took several minutes to get second one. My wife and daughter went to second room and it only had one bed!!! Came back down to desk and just told ‘sorry’. No attempt to correct or compensate for error. Over all disappointed. Cost of over $200 per night seemed excessive for what we got. I’ve stayed in $89 rooms that were much nicer.

The hotel was right beside the medical clinic I was visiting. The staff was very friendly and the room extremely comfortable. The cable was out because of a blizzard. The desk clerk told me about it when I checked in, but I know that was not their fault.

It worked well for what we needed

My initial reaction wasn’t good. I checked in, and got to my room where the thermostat was, no joke, set at 92! The room wouldn’t cool off after I turned the thermostat off and the wall unit to cool. I opened the window and still was too hot.

The temperature control unit didn't work properly. It started at 63 degrees. Wouldn't respond to wall thermostat. When the thermostat on the unit was turned up, it took hours to warm the room up. Then it kept going up to 77 degree. Then it took hours to go back down some. Then in the middle of the night, the fan started cycling off and on in 30 second cycles blowing a cold draft down on the bed farthest away. That went on for hours. The bathroom door wouldn't latch. So if you shut it, it just drifted open a few inches immediately.

Property was average. Could use some renovations or at least modern conveniences, like USB charging. Staff appeared to be decent

A great kitchen and bath room. Bed was great and comfortable. Location to street and restaurants was fantastic. Even the internet worked as advertised. We couldn't believe how well the refrigerator and the rest of the kitchen worked.

TV was a 32 and not a 43 as advertised. The remote was missing and took us two hours for them to get us one. They claimed to have food on the property, which in fairness they did, but it was priced double what you normally pay from a regular grocery store.

The bed was comfortable, but the TV was no larger than a 27-32 inch. And it’s quite far from the bed. TV’s these days are not very expensive, I was surprised they have not upgraded to a larger one.
