Best Western Plus Wausau-Rothschild Hotel

An older hotel, but kept up well. The bed was comfortable. Pool and hot tub were warm. Breakfast was great - lots of options such as waffles, mini waffles and pancakes with strawberry, blueberry and apple toppings along with whipped cream. Eggs and sausage, biscuits and gravy. Coffee machine with several options. Attention paid to having gluten free cereal and sugar free syrup. Attendant keep all the tables clean and everything well stocked.

Stayed 5 nights, very friendly staff, the facility was clean . I would stay there again and I did recommend it to someone already.

Nice, clean, affordable and quiet (after the families in town for a tournament checked out ;) )

The environment was inviting. It was family oriented with the dad, mom, son, and daughter. The entire family greeted me daily. The dad would ask me how my day was at work. The daughter made it a point to address me by my first name. The area was perfect for me to take my walks in the neighborhood. The hotel was clean, quiet, and smelled very well. You would not have known that there were pets in the building. The grounds were cleaned outside. The only thing is that I wished they had one day a week of having bacon. They spoiled me with the fresh watermelon and bananas a day. I mean there was nothing that was left unturned. They had an area in the back for grilling. The pool and jacquizzi area was so clean. When the exercise bike was broken, they immediately got a new bike to replace it. When I told the dad about my toilet not flushing, he went and got a new functioning toilet that sat up higher so my knees did not hurt. This place was the best hotel that I have stayed at in a long time. Probably the best hotel in upper Wisconsin. I would definitely recommend this place if you need to stay in Wausau.

Curtain was broken and air conditioning extremely loud

The staff was the best; friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, much better than other hotels. I would have liked blackout curtains on the window. I couldn’t get the room dark.
