"Avoid this place"

The location was great, close to restaurants and job

The first room I was in i was eaten up with bed bugs. After the third day of waking up itching severely and seeing red bumps all over my arms I went to the front counter to tell the manager, the blonde female manager and her assistant helping her at the counter went to my room to gather my bed linens and actually saw the bed bugs on the bed sheets. At that time is when assistant actually told me that I brought the bed bugs to that room. After the manager and assistant left the room I felt more offended the more I thought about what the assistant had said to me so as I was moving my things out of that room and into another room I pulled the bed down a bit to see behind the mattress as I did I saw a build up of hair and numerous bed bugs and I took pictures with my phone. At that time I went back to the front counter to show the manager who I thought should know the condition of her rooms and to let her know how offended I was by her assistants comment she actually went off on me yelling at me at the front counter stating that she not having another conversation with me and that I could just move out. Mind you I had already paid for like 17 nights up front a she was sure to tell I wouldn't get my money back. So I walked away and went on to finish swapping rooms. After bout an hour the manager showed up at the room they had transferred me too knocked on my door to give me my remaining clothes, I took the clothes and to avoid confrontation with this lady i closed the door. At that point the manager started yelling while standing in the hall way "if you ever slam a door in my face it will be the last the you ever do"! I didn't respond. So I went on to sleep in the bed of the second room and woke up the next morning with bites all over my neck. I went to Walmart bought sheets and put on the sofa in the living area and that's where I slept the remainder of my stay.

"Rip off"

Location

Says pet friendly, I paid 100 dollar deposit for 1 night for my black lab and paid a 25 dollar fee for a total of 245 dollars for one night n they say the deposit isn’t refundable. I stayed one night but they charge that deposit for ppl who stay a month! Rip off hard core stay somewhere else.

"BAD MANAGER!!"

I booked a stay for 2 nights, during a city tournament of all times! Upon arrival I was given keys for a Queen smoking room. I booked a King Suite! I went up, looked at the room and came back down to the desk. Chris and Heather were there and they both said that I was in the wrong room. They were full and my room had been given away. The onsite manager "Becky" had pulled out the reservations for the evening, and this is all they knew. I did not stay there and proceeded to find a different motel for 2 nights for more than 2x the price. I called the property the next day and the manager (I use that term lightly) "Becky" said (very nasty) that, and I quote"Booking.com sent it to me that way" LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE! I call Choice Hotels only to discover that corporate can see the key strokes of who changed the reservation at the motel level. "Becky" had changed my reservation not once but 2 times! And LIED to me about it, she was very rude and non-apologetic on the phone to me, great customer service hmmmm? She tried blaming it on Booking.com. I got the phone number for the regional and starting calling,,,,,,Choice Hotels, regional Lawrence, Booking.com. Lawrence the regional made some calls and got to the bottom of it. NOT ONLY DID "BECKY" CAUSE ME ISSUES WITH HAVING TO FIND ANOTHER MOTEL, BUT ALSO THE COST INCURRED FROM THE OTHER MOTEL I HAD TO STAY IN. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS MOTEL AGAIN WHILE SHE IS STILL EMPLOYED THERE. I will also be putting this review out on google etc. Keep in mind this does not reflect on the Hotel, only on this 1 person. The other 2 employees Chris and Heather did an amazing job and were very polite in this situation (shout out to them for good customer service ) Still not quite sure what "Beckys" motivation was for her actions but she is going to drag this property down around her. Hope you do well in your future endeavors! Not until you change your attitude!!
