At the Crater's Edge

We received a lovely welcome from Erik as soon as we arrived. He showed us our room and the hot tub and where everything was kept. Our room was amazing complete with fresh muffins, fruit and drinks for us to enjoy. The room had a spa bath , shower, heated bathroom floor, tv, comfy bed etc. Erik and Chris have really put a lot of thought and effort into making our stay a wonderful experience Thank you sooo much.

Not a hotel, but rather an independent little guest room adjacent to a small house. Very pleasant and relaxing dwelling in ex-urban rain forest just a few miles from the National Park. Only downside was oddly high bed frame. Good food options in nearby Village.

This is an amazing place - beautiful, quiet, comfortable, and with very pleasant proprietors.

This is a bed and breakfast type of lodging at a home near Volcano National Park. There are 2 rooms in a separate building, set within tropical plants. Other than some typical neighborhood noise during the day (barking dogs, lawn equipment, etc), it is very quiet and private. It's a really lovely place to stay, particularly for couples. The room was spacious with lots of windows and a high, open ceiling. The breakfast component is in the room and for us included freshly made banana bread, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea and juice. There is a microwave in the room along with a small fridge. The bathroom has a heated floor, shower stall, and jetted tub. There is a hot tub on the property, but we didn't use it. Our host, Eric, was easy-going, friendly, and very helpful. He has a log of knowledge of what's available in the area, including activities, food, and how to get to various places. I couldn't recommend this place strongly enough.

This place is a beautiful nature sanctuary! I felt like we were staying in a tree house in the jungle--really cool and nicely furnished. The hosts were so welcoming and happy to give any recommendations to the area.

Chris and Eric were so welcoming, and helpful! They left many delicious treats and wonderful little touches to make us completely pampered. We loved our stay! The suite was a Beautifully Island Decorated Oasis in a Tropical Rainforest Setting.

We stayed two nights in Haiku Garden while exploring the Volcano National Park. The room was wonderful and better than pictured. The bed was very comfortable. We briefly met the caretakers and they were very nice and helpful.
