Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites El Dorado Hills by IHG

Very clean and comfortable

We were turned away because of the pet policy which I specifically requested at the time of booking. No where on the booking website about no pets. False advertising and fraud.

I'd say great if you have kids or if you want to spend a little less. Breakfast ok -- the pancake machine was hilarious. Coffee not great. I was not impressed with the omelette. Cinnamon rolls good. Room is prefab stuff. grateful for the ironing board, iron and safe. Towels not impressive but not terrible. Comfortable sleep and room was quiet even though hotel was full. AC was LOUD. Needs a night light in bathroom. Now why was the EV charging station out of order? Staff kindly let me check in early and was friendly in/out of hotel during day. Best part was arriving after the rain, which allowed view of Sierra with dusting of snow. Elevator slow. Grateful to the desk staff that were able to find me a blow dryer when the one from my room was missing.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay a pleasure. We stayed for over a week and were able to switch rooms as our needs changed. While the property is older and shows signs of aging, it also demonstrates signs of recent investment. If you’re looking for a quiet room, consider the 4th floor facing the pool or lake, as the nearby restaurants can be quite noisy. Room 421 would be an excellent choice if the main room had better lighting and a door to separate the rooms (hint to management). The hotel features a modern BUNN coffee maker that grinds and dispenses freshly brewed coffee on demand which was highly utilized during our visit and prompted me to purchase the same machine for my office. Overall, the staff’s exceptional service made this a truly 5-star stay.

Public parking

Parking seemed safe; they said they had security patrolling the parking lot, but I never saw them in a week. This facility shared a parking lot with multiple other shops; parking close wasn't an option. That's the only negative thing; otherwise, 5 stars all around.

This was my first time traveling and staying in a hotel by myself. I had concerns about that, but I felt very safe here. The parking lot is well lit at night, so I felt comfortable going to the car to vape. The staff was extremely nice and super helpful any time I had questions. I will definitely continue to stay here when I come back to visit family again.
