Candlewood Suites Clarksville by IHG

Staff was super friendly. Loved that they had free laundry machines available. Unfortunately, cleanliness and maintenance were a little lacking. There was a lampshade that kept falling off and my kids kept finding trash from prior guests. Hallway on level two definitely smelled like they were fighting the smell of someone smoking weed

Showed up with a reservation already paid for and they had no room for me! It was 9:00pm and the town was sold out!

Location isn’t bad… close to many other hotels that would have probably been a better choice but was trying to stick with IHG. Restaurants nearby. Curtain was not connected. Everything was just grimy… one pillow case had a ton on stains. Shower floor was very dirty but I’m sure it’s tough to clean because it was textured. All my towels were a different color of off-white. My room smelled like fried food when I walked in. I would not recommend.

The front desk was nice, but when I got off the elevator the hallway was dirty. Then when I got to my room the door was opened already. Then I had to use the bathroom and it wasn't clean the toilet and tub had dirt and hair on them.

The worst. Hotel was filthy and smelled bad. Furniture and linens were stained and worn. We literally packed up and left, we could not spend the night there. We asked to be refunded and went to a Holiday Inn Express up the road. Desk said they would refund, but the charge is now on my credit card - will be disputing with credit card

It was a nice place to stay but wouldn't stay again. They had pipes leaking in the lobby and coffee room that were leaking the whole 5 nights we stayed. People were very friendly

Room was clean. However the desk was missing a wheel and almost tipped over when leaned on. Bathroom had no waste basket, coffeemaker was missing and TV had a large blue streak down one side. Plus they charge $50 for pets which 2x every where else.

When we entered our room, it had an unpleasant smell and the floor was sticky. The refrigerator in our room sounded like is was about to take off. Tried to drown out that noise with the fan, and both noises together only made it worse. There were also cobwebs in the corners of the room. I’m very surprised that this hotel has such overall good ratings. I would not recommend a Candlewood after this.

The pros: - A/C was really good - Location is great, close to many restaurants and the Governer's Mall - Wide selection of packaged food/drink to buy in lobby The cons: - Our room wasn't completely cleaned out; there was leftover mac n cheese from Panera still in the fridge. There was also a pack of clothes left in the drawers. Floor wasn't completely vacuumed either. - The TV would turn on, but none of the other buttons on the remote would work. Can't change channels. - There is no free breakfast. This is the first hotel I've ever stayed at where breakfast was not offered in the mornings.
