Candlewood Suites Clarksville by IHG

I reserved two rooms with two beds in each as I have a large family. When I arrived the hostess said I only had one room until I showed her my reservation. There was a problem with the credit card machine and it would not process my $50 deposit for incidentals on the second room. While trying to figure out what was wrong my family went to the room that we did check in to. They returned to the front desk because the room was destroyed. There were no bed sheets or blankets and there was trash all over the room. The hostess gave us the key to our other room instead. Meanwhile she could not get the fee to process after nearly an hour on the phone with my bank. The hostess was unwilling to let me check in to a second room. We ended up sleeping on the floor because she said there were no extra cots, blankets or pillows. I was extremely disappointed with the service. I stay with this chain of hotels on a regular basis and this has never happened before. I hope it won’t happen again. I also hope that I do not get charged for the second room.

I like the property and staff, however all of us had trouble with our keycards more than once

The floor was not vacuumed, I made coffee in the morning, and when I went to clean it out after I drank my coffee, there was an extra filter in there that was not removed and I did not see it when I made my coffee, I told the front desk and all they said is oh sorry. My dog was in heat so she wore a diaper the whole time I was there in and out of the elevator they said that my dog Peed on the floor and handed me a rag for me to clean it up which I had no problem, but my dog did not P there was three other dogs on the same floor that I was one across the hall, which I even have a video to prove that there was a dog in that wrong and the lady at the front desk said that there was no other dogs on the fourth floor. I was on the fourth floor in a handicap room where the dog. No I would not recommend and I would not stay again. They state that they do not playing drums until you check out or every seven days I seen housekeeping, cleaning rooms never heard or seen a vacuum cleaner on the carts I was there for days. I videotape my room as I was leaving under the bed the walls everything I did not trust them for charging me for something that I did not do or my dog.

Well equipped kitchen, clean, comfortable

Check in lady was very kind and quick with getting us checked in. Room was very spacious and appeared very clean. It was a great one night stop.

Staff was excellent and the manager handled a charge on my card in a swift manner. Housekeeping staff were friendly and took care of what I needed. Room was pretty clean and comfortable. I was disappointed on the litter making the property look unkempt. Also, dog poop was all over the pet area. The laundryroom is free to guests, but the dryers may need to be cleaned, as it took over 2 hours to dry my clothes. Overall, this is a good place to stay.

Staff was friendly and room was clean but in need of major maintenance. Large crack in wall by window, thermostat did not work (thank goodness the window was able to be cracked open), TV did not work and phone did not work. To get assistance from front desk we needed to go down to lobby to ask for help (no fun when you are on the 4th floor and room farthest from elevator).

The hotel was nice clean the front desk was great. They let me check in early.

The people that stay here and leave positive reviews must all be smokers.The first room I tried smelled like a bar.I moved to another room and it still smelled like cigarettes.My first and last time at this place.My allergies were horrible the next day.Do not stay here unless you’re a smoker.Horrible!

The staff here are super friendly and helpful. I got to my room and realized I didn’t have a coffee maker or a blow dryer and the staff made sure I had those items within minutes. Rooms seemed clean. I felt it could of had just a tiny bit more cleaning done in the shower but nothing really to complain about. Downstairs is a “cupboard” if you want to purchase items for your stay. Unlimited free coffee. They also have a community room filled with items that you can borrow and bring back such as a crock put, waffle maker, really sharp knives, games, books, etc. property was clean. There is a drain in the front of the building that had some beer cans that need to be picked up but the property is well maintained. Cleaning staff was super friendly. I had a very positive experience here. There is literally 30 plus restaurants within a minute drive if the hotel, a Walmart less than a half Mike away. Great location if staying in Clarksville. I will stay here again on my next visit.
