Candlewood Suites Clarksville by IHG

Great customer service, very friendly and welcoming. Loved the dog area as it was a nice grassy area and being on the first floor was wonderful and easy to get to the dog area. The room itself was great! Soft, comfy bed, big bathroom and the amenities were great as well.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I had a confirmed reservation for it to bed queen room. When I arrived at the hotel I was assigned a room by a clerk. When I went to the room it was a one bed queen room. Matt when I ordered. Went back to the front desk and the clerk told me that Matt the hotel manager gave my room to a friend of his at 2 PM. He did this knowing he couldn’t fill my confirmation for two queen room. The front desk clerk told me that he emailed me about the problem. I complained again and said I want a two Queen room. Didn’t have any. Give them the keys back to the one bed queen room. I asked to have the day manager call me. He called and left me a voicemail complaining to me that I yelled and cussed at the front office clerk. I never did that. I was charged for it 2 bed queen room and they gave me one bed room which was a lower price also. Didn’t even change the price to be correct for the room he gave me. I told him make sure I get a credit back for that charge. I didn’t get a credit back they kept my money. Never go there, the Room was also dirty.

The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, did not sleep We’ll at all.

Good: looks like it had been renovated recently. Spacious. Bad: lobby smelled like a wet dog. Design of the renovation was not great. Cannot open drawer due to chair squeezed next to it. No sheets or blanket for the sofa coach. No extra towels. Shower down quick enough, so standing in water. Slow check in supposedly due to slow computer.

The staffing were very friendly.

The only thing I didn't like was that the walls are paper thin, which means that the sounds from any room adjacent to mine were as if there was no wall at all. This is probably typical of all hotel living but I really wish hotels were more sound-proof. One other note: there was some evidence that there had been some leaking above the shower. This hotel probably could use some refurb/update.

Nice, clean and quiet rooms.

The staff is very friendly and helpful but the rooms are a bit aged and dirty. Fingerprints on the kitchen cabinets and old dirt on baseboards. We had to move rooms because of ants and both rooms had a deodorizer smell - We had no trouble changing rooms. The location is fantastic!
