Beautiful resort with authentic Thailand vibes. Made us feel like we were in an episode of White Lotus. Haha Highly recommend!

Pretty property. Lots of bugs. Had to check out early because of getting bit by bugs that were in the room & they would not refund even with knowing that.

The aesthetics of this hotel are amazing. The service and food are also very good. As a guest however it is unworkable. The rooms. We are travelling Asia extensively and this is our 6th destination in Thailand. All previous rooms and batrooms have been very spacious however this was the Smallest we have had since Japan. Only one bedside table unless you want to use the small suitcase rest as one. The bathroom is way too small. Our room was garden view. This includes being able to see 5 other garden rooms. Each room has a table and 2 chairs on a patio just big enough. Pool rooms have 2 sun loungers which are rarely used as they never get the sun. Other guest use the pool where the poolside rooms are. Goodness knows what happens when it is busy. The only other seating is 2 tables and 8 chairs by one pool and 4 chairs by the other pool. The sun loungers are rock hard and you need 3 towels to cover them. People walking around the pool nearly fall in as it is so tight. No bar longe. The lounge area has been turned into the smoking area. Most walkways are open so you get wet going from area to area. You get 2 coffee filter capsules a day and no more. Yet there is a coffee area where you can get free coffee and tea all day. Only 2 bars both pool bars that shut early so nowhere to sit and relax. There is a pool and football table in the smoking area so if like me you dislike smoking it is a no go area. The spa is triple what the other establishments charge. Photos show some of the issues.

Love the architecture which has a real Thai feel about it. It is particularly impressive at night with so much attention to detail with the lighting. Staff are friendly and go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. Breakfast is excellent both in terms of variety and quality. We enjoyed a number of other meals here too as the restaurant was as good if not better than many of the ones nearby in Kata. We loved the convenience of eating onsite. The room we were in was entry level (ie. the cheapest option) and was comfortable. Bed was firm in keeping with Thai standards but was comfortable. There are a lot of markets nearby and the Kata Walking Street Market is definitely the standout. Great variety of Street Food. A lot of the usual clothing/footwear stalls around too, offering a good range of items at competitive prices. Go for a walk to the beach and onto the beach at Beyond Resort, walking towards the other exit toward Karon. A nice beach walk that takes you past markets and restaurants. The beach I think is nicer than Patong. There is a shuttle to the beach but we like to walk. The shuttle service is free and runs on the hour from outside the resort with a return from near Bronx resort just after the hour. We did try it out.

I’m here right now and all I can say is, we had booked a second hotel but we’ve cancelled and extended this one. This is the best hotel I have ever been to in my life. The food, the staff, the ambience are all fantastic. The hotel is superbly clean with the most polite, friendly and helpful staff you could imagine. I broke my toe on the first night we were here and a member of staff without being asked help to assist me back to the room. Everyone greets you with a smile and unconditional kindness. The food as well is fresh and fantastic. I cannot fault this place and would recommend to anyone

This hotel was one of the nicest, prettiest, and most welcoming hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The pool was so gorgeous and the staff were so genuine. Might come here for my honeymoon again.

The best place I have ever stayed, such a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff

Excellent service. Part of the pool at Baray Villas were not well lit. Passage way to get to villa looks like we are going into a low end hotel when in fact we are going into a beautiful villa. It looks like the whole hotel has been well decorated except the Baray Villas area which appears unfinished.

I stayed at the sawasdee village resort and spa. Such a beautiful place. I booked the baray villa for my partners birthday. He really loved it. The room felt like a house since it’s a two story room. From the reception office, it’s not a far walk at all, but I can tell people can get lost figuring it out. The service was amazing, sweet, considerate, and very friendly. I highly recommend to book this room, you get amenities and goodies in the room which is super sweet. You have a jacuzzi that leads into the pool and it’s super quiet and pretty. You’re secluded from the other room type, which makes you feel special. The other pools in the resorts are nice, but the chairs might be taken. For our room, there are more mosquitoes in the area, so make sure to close the pool door at night. Everything in the room is super clean, you get free drinks, tiger balm, mosquito lotion, snacks, and other amenities. We had an issue with the A/C system, if you put the temp down, it goes back up. I don’t know how to figure it out, but I set the timer to 15 hours at 18 Celsius? (The really cold temp) which makes the room stays cool for that long. That was the only thing I had a problem with. Other than that, bed was huge, soft, and comfortable.
