Very authentic thai style and good facilities and good location

Hotel was amazing and staff were super friendly however Expedia themselves screwed us over. Our flights changed about 6 months before our trip and we were arriving a day early. I contacted Expedia informing them of the situation and their agent told me it was handled and I would not have to pay extra for the extra night. In arrival the property had no idea about us arriving early and I ended up having to pay $400 extra for a room as the only one available was a villa. When speaking to Expedia about this asking for a reimbursment they told me it was the hotels fault and that they refused to refund. This was not an issue on the hotel it was Expedia and was their responsibility to fix the issue as it was their mistake and lack of communication. So just be careful if your arrival dates change and know that Expedia will lie and tell you it’s handled when it’s not.

Clean, friendly & attentive staff. We loved the spa & variety of breakfast options.

We had 9 nights here last month and it was just perfect. We booked a Cabana Suite and having immediate access to the gorgeous, long pool was great! Everyone at the hotel was just lovely and really couldn't do more for you. It's spotlessly clean, very pretty and the lights make it so sparkly at night. Breakfast was good with a variety of food and an omelette/egg station made to order. Dinner was delicious too. There are bars and restaurants very close by and Kata beach is about a 15 mins walk but the hotel provide a free hourly shuttle service to and from.

Property was nice , but is a fair distance to the beach, and not much in the area , nice resort the staff are great, one issue is the location of the smoking area , you needed to walk through it to get to your room or the dining area

Not what I had expected, older. No parking. Louder from a pool bar. Might be good for a tourist in a walking area. Just not my thing

I will preface my review by saying the Staff in this hotel were absolutely lovely. I’d give 5 stars alone just for them ! In general, the hotel is located on a very seedy side street. Around dark, it feels a bit disconcerting walking around as a solo female woman. We also noticed a hell of a lot of women working at night who would seriously hit on any man who walked past - regardless of if they were with a woman/partner. The hotel itself is old & jaded. While at night it does absolutely sparkle, during the day it looks worn out and tired. The pool we found to be quite dirty. The room isn’t lit well at night, but the bed was really comfy and the amenities were great. All in all, we had a good stay at Sawasdee Village however it could do with some updates.
