Fordoun Hotel & Spa

A warm and welcoming country hotel , log fires burning and a cosy restaurant with outstanding food - try the lamb curry. Wine list also very good. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

This property is solid 4 star, not 5. Spa facilities are lovely but the rooms are a bit tired- horrible smell coming out of the bathroom sink. Very average food and poor choice for breakfast for 5 star hotel. Not the best value for money.

Fordoun hotel and spa was absolutely beautiful and relaxing. Ideal for couples celebrating an anniversary or going on honeymoon. The spa was one of the best I have been to. All the staff are amazing and so friendly and accommodating. Loved the peace and quiet.

Lovely stay indeed. Excellent service from everyone. Only slight complaints would be restaurant related. “Honey mustard chicken” was hot with chili. Dinner was divine, but for the price of R85 - dessert was very small (we shared based on the size of lunch and dinner portions) All in all, would return

There just one night. Delightful spot, lovely room and enormous bathroom. In the midst of an estate with farm and other activities. Staff very friendly and helpful at all levels - with one exception. Food very good and spa really nice with good size pool as well as treatments. Wished I'd had longer.

Great place, wonderful room with underfloor heating, fantastic bathroom. Restaurant was excellent. Great food & drink. The spa facilities were excellent, I enjoyed a massage which was really resonably priced. We stayed one night on our way to the drakenberg mountain from durban. Great for that reason or if want a lovely spa experience on a great estate. Would highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Fordoun. We had a deluxe dam facing room, overlooking the dam. The gardens are beautiful and the staff very helpful and friendly. It is evident that the comfort of the guests is of paramount concern to the owners & staff of Fordoun. The food is really good too!
