Staybridge Suites London by IHG

Breakfast had lots of variety. Good breakfast, no issues. Beds are extremely cozy (king size) pillows too!

The only observation that we noted was the sofa which is made of fabric was showing lots of staining could use a good steam wash or scrub. The pool was closed but didn't affect our stay.

Staybridge is situated in the southern part of town, among many other hotels, somehow far from downtown, university, etc. Plenty of parking. We didn't like our first room, but there was no problem with exchanging it to something more to our liking. One of the staff even help to carry the luggage. The room was nice, king size bed was very comfortable. Also it had a sofa bed, round table, a desk and only one chair. Small kitchenette corner was equipped with a cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Under window AC was efficient enough. The hotel offers daily included breakfast. The quality of food varied, sometimes some items were gone, sometimes (weekend) it was difficult to find a table, but overall it was good. The hotel also offers included a simple dinner (on weekdays). At the back of hotel, outside, there is a small area with some trees, chairs, picnic tables and two BBQs. An indoor swimming pool was enjoyed by kids. Didn't notice anybody using a small, clean gym. The front desk staff was very helpful and kind, in particular we remember Ankita who even informed us about local attractions, potential excursions (i.e. to the town of Bend Beach on the shore of Lake Huron). Overall it was a pleasant stay. There are small details that could be improved. For example, there was not enough cutlery in our room, BBQs outside needed some repairs and cleaning etc. We had only two towels (they delivered more, promptly when asked), the frying pan didn't work with induction cooktop, etc. But, once again, the staff was very helpful and quickly addressed any concerns. Overall we had nice pleasant stay for a competitive price.

The room 241 was spacious and quiet. The location was good. It has in house laundry. It's close to a large mall and many restaurants and cafes. Free parking.

The breakfast was not as good as before. The room furniture was too big. The chest of drawers was partially blocked by the bed due to inappropriate design.

Just a short getaway, all conditions at the hotel made it all worthwhile, from check-in to check-out.

Close walking distance to restaurants and other amenities.

The first staff member we delt with was absolutely unhelpful and il mannered

The first night and next morning there was really loud due to a hockey tournament. The staff seemed overwhelmed with everything, so I didn't both them for anything other than a check in. My stay was much better and quieter after the group of hockey families left. I would likely stay again as I appreciate the kitchenette in the rooms.

Nice hotel. There were three of us so we needed to use sofa bed but there were no bedding so we called front desk and was told to come get them. The gentleman there only offered a fitted sheet and I asked for a cover sheet and blanket. He was a bit reluctant but went to get them. The breakfast was good except the fresh fruits were on a table with people sitting around them and talking or coughing I thought was unsanitary. Would be nice if they were in bother area. The room was quite nice and spacious with kitchen. I would stay here again as everything else was good.
