We stay at a lot of Staybridge Suites and this one is definitely the one most in need of a refresh. We've stayed at a Sonata that used to be a Staybridge that was in better shape. The room is really dark and there are not enough light fixtures to get beyond "dim". Outlets are limited and there are no USB charging ports on anything. The refrigerator is smaller than any other Staybridge we've stayed at and had no ice maker, even though we were told that many rooms had one. If we needed ice, we could go to the breakfast area to get it. The room looks tired as does the carpet. The bed is fairly comfortable and while old, everything is pretty clean in the room. There are signs saying it is being rennovated. The funniest one is in the front elevator as it is ripped up - like "no kidding" about the rennovation. Front staff was friendly. The social hour food was not the healthiest and they only have Lone Star and Budwiser cans for the social hours - nothing on draft, even though they have the taps. I did not try the breakfast but could smell it and it probably was good. The location makes this a future stay, but not until the rennovation is further along. There is a second elevator in the back but there are practially no lights in that parking area, so not sure I'd want to park back there unless I was driving a clunker.

Good value

The facility although under renovations, was great. The room outstanding. The service sucked. On checkin, i was told that there was a $50 incidental. I was preplexed as i had called the hotel and was not made aware. I was making a suggestion that that info should be given up front. The, i guess, manager, cane out with a big attitude. She told me it was non-negotiable and they could cancel my reservation and i could go somewhere else. Only prayer kept me from retaliating!!! I told her i was not talking about the charge, just that people should know in advance. As i was standing there, another person came up and was shocked when they heard about the charge. While the hotel was a 5 star, because of her attitude, i will never go back. I was there to do a class for the police department, with students from different locations, i did tell them about the incident and recommended they not use the faculity.

I would not recommend staying here until the renovations are complete. Nothing was outright bad, but I would choose to stay elsewhere. The food was room temperature instead of warm. The sofa was well worn and pulled so that the stuffing was coming out. The bathtub had chips in the surface. The bed, however, was pretty comfortable.

The bad: Old and needs a major facelift. Old carpet and awkward older rooms with outdated TV and remote that needed batteries. First room I was put in, the AC wasn't working but they put me in another. Would have been big issue if they were booked. The good: Very nice staff and an amazing breakfast. They had bacon, blueberries and cut tomatoes. Note to staff: Please get full fat cottage cheese. It also is within walking distance of convenience store. There is plenty of street parking to park an 18 wheeler. Overall great experience and it's a perfect hotel for blue collar workers.

Hotel is under renovation and currently a bit dingy. Services are reduced and breakfast was not as good as at other Staybridge Suites.

This facility is under renovation so there are missing baseboards, outlet covers, etc in the hallways, which makes it look messy. However, the larger problem exists in how there is no soundproofing or insulation between rooms or suites. Despite the seemingly large amount of empty rooms, we were booked into a suite that adjoined another one, such that the only barrier between us and some people with a noisy toddler up at 4 AM was the locked adjoining door. The bathtub faucet leaked. The tap water has a terrible chemical taste. The kitchenette cabinet doors don’t fully close. This is a poorly maintained site and the noise makes it difficult to sleep even with earplugs and white noise playing. We will stay somewhere else in the future.
