Days Inn by Wyndham Mount Vernon

The cost was $10 more than much lower standard hotels (Motel 6, Super 8) with a significant step up in the quality of the facility. Newly mostly remodeled. Pool not used but very small. Breakfast good for hotel price. Bed firm/comfortable. WiFi not assessed.

Breakfast options not great, dirty in bathroom and in room

I was pleasantly surprise with the cleanliness and friendliness of the property and staff for the inexpensive price I paid. I was only looking for a room to be able to get some rest and a warm shower.

Facility could use some updating.

Booked a handicap room for my mother who uses a wheelchair but checking in was told handicap room was on 3rd floor and elevator was broken. Room we were given on the first floor did not have handicap shower so mother was unable to shower during stay.

Need to fix the elevator.

The hallways smelled like cat urine. The pool was cloudy. The air conditioning didn’t cool the room down efficiently.

It gave us what we needed, a port in the storm.

It needed to be updated.

Good job and still working to make hotel better.

A little noisy from room above ours.

This place is horrible and deserves a negative review. I have never ever written a review in my entire life, but I feel pulled to encourage people to stay literally anywhere else in the area. The manager is absolutely horrible to deal with. She yelled at us and refused to return money SHE OVERCHARGED US. Then got the police involved, and suddenly, when we showed them our bank account statements... she was able to refund it accurately. Interesting how she was able to do that with police around but not around us when we tried to remedy the situation ourselves. Stay somewhere else. The rooms aren't great either. You're not missing anything.
