InTown Suites Extended Stay Newport News VA - City Center

The staff was rude, left me standing outside a locked door at night ignoring me despite my knocking and them being able to see me less than 10 feet away, they acted like they were doing me a favor when they let me in and proceeded to tell me they should have been gone by 9 so I needed to hurry. The first room they offered us smelled like mold so we asked for a new one. The new one smelled too and was dirty (with hair on tables, grime on the bathroom counters and makeup smudges on unclean pillows) as well as the bed was a thin mattress on a cot aluminum frame so we didn’t even stay there, we left and slid our key under the maintenance door because the lady in the front was horrible and wasn't even there when we came back up and her door was locked with a closed sign. NEVER EVER AGAIN. I have requested a refund.

we arrived to Hampton at 11 p.m. expecting a room but had to call security who was off property to let us in since we had already paid for our room. No forewarning, no call. I booked a queen size bed and got a crunchy full size bed. We did decide to stay for the second night that we had booked, so it wasn't horrible. Just not wonderful. Staff, when present, were very nice

Room was comfortable, missed not have pots & pans.

This place was very clean & the staff was very kind. I would stay again!!!!!

Nice and comfortable hotel other than that, I would return for another stay when I return back to the area plus in a very good location

In an extended stay motel, one would expect some basic silverware, plates, paper towels, cups, etc. Before checking in, I purchased some food items for use in my planned week's stay. No can opener, no pots or pans, nothing; totally empty shelves. The typical traveler shouldn't expect to bring along everything in the kitchen to make the stay work. I checked out after the first night and spent a little more at a Residence Inn. What a difference!!!

Worse customer service and atmosphere ever, hotel smells and seems seedy. Room however was renovated and fresh.
