InTown Suites Extended Stay Newport News VA - City Center

I booked this on Saturday afternoon. The confirmation noted that I could check in between 9 am and 9 pm. I got there at 8:30 p.m. and the office was totally shut down. The maintenance guy came over and told me they had switched to extended stay and close at 8 p.m. Nothing he could do. Left me without a room in a beach town that was almost 100% booked.

It was a comfortable stay. I should have booked a couple of extra days.

nobody ever at front desk, housekeeping only came the first day, people outside of hotel asking for rides/money overall a sketchy area not best for family

Quiet motel; no to many amenities but ok; close to highway and stores;

Room was clean and basic. The mattress on the bed was close to needing replaced. They had a strict noise policy I really appreciated and things were very quiet by 10pm. They marketed the place as at City Center at Oyster Point when it was a good 2 blocks to those shoppes and restaurants. Also it was mostly an extended stay facility with much of the clientele looking down on their luck. Still I never felt unsafe and the price was good.

My husband was transported to the local hospital for an illness and further testing. I wasn't sure how long my son and I would have to stay. The staff here went above and beyond to help us out in our time of need!! We will be forever thankful!!

The renovation on the rooms are great!!!

The bed was very uncomfortable, the elevator was dirty, and didn't work at one point. The front desk clerk when we checked in was very nice and professional, but we didn't like the fact that they were closed after a certain time, and weren't there when we went to check pout. My boyfriend was very irritated.
