El Dorado Maroma Cenote, Underground Expedition All & More Inclusive - Adults Only

Our experience at Maroma was everything we hoped for and so much more. It was beautiful, and peaceful, and offered so much. We wanted a place to relax, with an opportunity to explore safely and easily. The food options were amazing, and locally-sourced, and allergies were always taken into consideration.

The resort was wonderful for our vacation. The staff were very nice and friendly. They treated us with so much care. They made us feel at home.

Place is an older resort but well maintained. The people are amazing . The rooms were large and super clean . The food was really great for a resort I thought . No buffets all food the food was fresh . Premium liquor on hand . The only draw back I had was the honeymoon suite shows first floor with a pool outside in pics . I was on the 4 th floor no pool . I did like the spot because we were away from everything but should have paid less .

We stayed in this property 10 years ago, and went back to it to find a place to spend frequent weekend breaks, thinking that the place would probably had changed a lot in a way that it could be a bit less appealing. Nothing farther than the truth, they have improved a lot while keeling the quiet and exclusive feeling of the resort. All the staff is very friendly and more than helpful, proactive, and the new approach to an "all inclusive" package that basically now included most of the things that used to have extra cost, is amazing. The hotel is super clean, and all the restrooms have A/C and always smell good and are kept dry and well equipped. The spa is an amazing experience, worth every dollar spent, and in general all the services, including the airport transportation are very very professional and safe, exceeding our expectations by far. In the Dorado Maroma, the Lomas group is doing an amazing job, and that includes the services provided right next door at the Maroma beach club, creating a uniform and high-quality experience for visitors, in such a transparent way, with the same standards suitable for demanding customers. For sure we will be back, and now are considering a membership, as this is a perfect spot to relax, and besides what nature provides, Lomas brings up the rest to make it possible. This is a beautiful resort and our first time here. The staff is fabulous. Their service and kindness are impeccable!!! I really don’t have any dislikes but I do think they could do better with the restaurants. The food is meh. The desserts are delish.

Beautiful beach, clean property and top notch staff. They really take the time to do daily cleanings of everything whether it's the rooms, pools ,restaurants or grounds in general. Very quiet and peaceful resort. We will certainly come back.

We spent our honeymoon here at El Dorado Maroma. The views are breathtaking, service is usually amazing, although we did have a couple waiters who missed a few steps occasionally( like not bringing us breakfast pastries basket when all other tables got one.) The have a great selection of food and alcohol included, Patron, 1800, good options. The main pool area is quite loud, and could be heard from inside our private pool suite, so we spent most of our time at another pool in a quieter area. (They did offer to move us for $100/per night upgrade). The catamaran boat tour with snorkeling was very interesting and we saw the second largest coral reef with a giant sea turtle! The property did need some upgrades in furniture that isn’t damaged and new carpet, but the rest of the resort was in good shape. I wouldn’t recommend the provided transportation as it took us over two hours after arriving to the van to actually get to our hotel, but overall a very pleasant experience and a great choice in Playa del Carmen. The landscaping and tropical gardens really won us over, as well as the resorts smaller scale in comparison to the mega resorts.

The Staff is the best I have ever experienced

This property is absolutely gorgeous. I had an amazing time. If you are looking to relax, not worry about a thing and enjoy yourself this is definitely the place. At times we felt like we had the hotel all to ourselves, we are most definitely coming back. It’s a bit of a drive from the airport but they offer transportation which made it a lot easier. Worth every penny!
