Personnel accueillant et sympathique qui parle français , proche de Fira (15 min à pied) 5 minutes du bus, restaurant à 2 minutes. Seul bémol: Insonorisation de la chambre et la taille de la salle de bain

Showers are way too small. Water goes everywhere

As we came from another hotel which was really nice, this was a minor downgrade compared to our previous hotel (which was cheaper). Hence we did not enjoy the hotel as much.

Nothing fancy, but this nice little hotel has everything you need. The hotel is located in Karterados, which is about 1.5 kilometers south of Fira. So you can walk to Fira in about 15 minutes. The staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean and spacious, have refrigerators and hot pots, and a pleasant little patio. Because you are outside of Fira, it is blessedly peaceful and serene. Plus, there is a good-sized supermarket and a bus stop only minutes away.

Thought there was a 24 hour person at the location. Apparently need to call hotel assistant to get help after hours

The hotel is located very close to Thira town. We travelled by bus which took 3 mins or walked for 15 to Thira. The rooms are small but not too bad. Overall the stay was satisfactory if all you are looking for is a bed and a place to shower.

Had a wonderfull time, everyone was so kind and enjoyable. Will go back to the same place whenever in Santorini

PROS- the girl on reception was really lovely -she is the only reason why im leaving a review at all. The proximity to Thira is great! 10-15min walk! The room size was fine, fridge useful, bed comfy and balcony was cute. Air con also worked fine. CONS - the pictures make the hotel look better than it is - i dont know if this was just our room though. The bathroom was cramped and grubby! The shelf above the skin was dirty and the sink stained. THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN- beware if you booking with babies/children. Wifi is also terrible

Ikaros Hotel is a simple place about 20 minutes walk from Fira, Santorini's main town. There are a couple of nice restaurants nearby, as well as a supermarket, ice cream shop and cafes. Although our room was basic, we liked the small balcony with limited sea view. The staff was very helpful and informative. For an expensive tourist destination such as Santorini, Ikaros Hotel provides a budget friendly option for independent travellers who don't need any frills.

I wouldn't decommend staying here as it falls extremely short of even a budget hotel. The bad: -Did not get the beds we booked -No hot water -Water is not drinkable -No internet The good: -It's quiet -can drop bags early We booked a room with "1 double bed and 1 single bed" specifically because other hotels didn't guarantee the double bed. Our room had only two single beds. We assume a hotel will have hot water. Out of the four times we tried showering we had hot water once. Clearly they don't have a strong/big enough hot water heater. We told staff this, and later when told that we never got more hot water the response was, "Oh, we've been using it down here cleaning. I guess we didn't leave you any." We also assume hotels have drinkable water. Yes, their water won't hurt you but it's very unpleasant (salty) to drink and is terrible for coffee. The staff specifically recommend using bottled water when you check in. When internet is advertised as an amenity I expect something that I can stay logged into for more than 4 minutes and something that manages a Google search in less than 2 minutes. Regularly there was no signal to connect to. I had 100x better internet using data through my phone on a ferry leaving the island than through the hotel wi-fi. So, on two accounts (bed and internet) we were lied two and on two accounts (hot and drinkable water) I learned that what I consider basic amenities are things I need to request. The hotel's position: eh, too bad.
