Hotel Ipanema

After reading the reviews I was not expecting this hotel to be as good as it was! It is tired, but spotlessly clean, and in a great location which are the things we as a couple value the most! Every room provides a lateral wonderful view of the sea and has a small balcony. Christina on reception provides excellent advice on trips, restaurants etc and Mario the barman is a wonderful character. The buffet style breakfast is basic and consists of meats, cheeses, bread and pastries and cereals. There is a roof top pool and a sun terrace if you don’t want to go to the beach. The one negative is it can be noisy if you have loud room neighbours so take some earplugs!

O banheiro do meu quarto não tinha reforma e o box da banheira era velho e quase fiquei presa sem conseguir abrir a porta do Box ! Não tinha frigobar

La piscina

Las habitaciones muy sucias y antiguas, no solo de estética sino que el mobiliario estaba en mal estado muchas cosas deterioradas. Más que un hotel tenía aspecto de casa del terror. Lo único bueno del hotel es la piscina y el personal

A bit outdated hotel but friendly staff, tasty breakfast, good rooms, nice location, great view of the area but a tricky parking situation. There are just a couple of parking lots on the property (back to back), so you need to hand over your keys so the hotel staff can move your car around when needed. Otherwise paid parking is nearby (250 meters) for 25 euros per day. We'd still recommend if the above isn't an issue for you.

The location was excellent.

It was a bit dated and breakfast was very limited. Also no WiFi in the bedrooms.

Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel was very clean and tidy. No wifi in the room. No safe in the room. No fridge in room these were reserved for guests to keep medication refrigerated. Plumbing in the room was very noisy; sounded as if there was constant heavy rain beating against the internal wall. Maintenance was carried out on sunbathing terrace for 4 of the 10 days we stayed. This was very noisy and dusty.Balconies were also out of bounds during maintenance. We have no complaints about the staff but the hotel certainly needs money being spent to bring it up to date.
