Hotel Ipanema

During my stay, I had a very unpleasant and disturbing experience at breakfast. Mr. Santo, who was working there, repeatedly threatened me not to eat too much. He raised his voice at me aggressively and demanded extra money in a rude and intimidating manner. His behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable, and it made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. Instead of enjoying my vacation, I was stressed and upset every morning, and this incident completely ruined my holiday experience. I hope appropriate action will be taken so that no other guest has to go through a similar situation.

Some of the staff at breakfast couldn’t smile, some did, just watched with sour face as if we were going to steal from the very ordinary breakfast! Girls at front desk were lovely 😻

Personalet var rigtig søde

Lokationen var ikke særlig god og alt var overraskende dyrt, både mad og butikker. Selve hotellet var lidt skuffende. Poolområdet var dårligt indrettet med alt for få liggestole og generelt en lidt ufunktionel opbygning. Det virkede ikke gennemtænkt, hvilket gjorde det svært at nyde området fuldt ud. Morgenmaden var desværre også under middel – ikke noget særligt udvalg, og kvaliteten var ikke noget at råbe hurra for.

La posizione dell' hotel è perfetta, di fronte al mare e con la funivia a 50 metri. L' accoglienza è stata splendida così pure la cordialità e gentilezza mostrata dal personale.

La colazione mi ha un po' deluso in quanto sprovvisti di latte senza lattosio o di soia o di avena.

Christina and Maria on Reception were SO lovely - so helpful and friendly, giving very honest, realistic and helpful information on the area, beaches, restaurants, etc. They were very helpful also in organising taxis.

No fridge in room and Lorenzo, the rather over-attentive waiter. Only one socket near the bed - not ideal if wanting to charge more than one item. My phone ended up being charged in the bathroom.

Fin beliggenhet, godt møtt i resepsjonen på dagtid, deilig takterrasse og basseng, passe størrelse på rom, god dusj og fint badekar, ok frokost.

Posizione, convenzione per la spiaggia

L'hotel è descritto come un 4 stelle ma in realtà sono molte meno dato che necessita di sistemazione, sembra quelli anni 70/80. La camera non dispone del frighetto ed il bagno non è finestrato e senza aerazione. Dopo sentire gli scrosci d'acqua sia al mattino presto sia di sera e di notte a qualsiasi ora, abbiamo chiesto alla reception di poterla cambiare o sistemare dato che stavamo lì ancora una settimana. La risposta è stata: le faremo sapere.Il problema non è mai stato risolto e siamo rimasti una settimana con il rumore ininterrotto degli scrosci d'acqua !!! La colazione a buffet è ripetitiva con nessun prodotto tipico locale ma solo prodotti già confezionati. La cena è con menù alla carta. Da rivedere l'orario di inizio cena alle 20, troppo tardi. In poche parole : prezzo alto per il servizio offerto e non lo consiglio

Stylish old world hotel with nice pool area on the roof - good breakfast and helpful staff. Close to cable car up to taormina or steps down to the beach. Lots of food options nearby - good value
