Staybridge Suites Rockford by IHG

I like how big the room was and you get the decent size kitchen. The staff was very nice, which we appreciated.

I didn't like that the rooms weren't cleaned on weekends but at least when we asked for extra towels they had them up to us right away

When I checked in it was late and the hotel was serving Dinner, which was tasty and convenient. The scrambled eggs and bacon were exceptional and the whole staff was egar to please....wish I needed to stay longer

The fact they only served dinner once but I only stayed 3 days.

We enjoyed our stay, nice breakfast, large room , friendly staff. Would stay again when in the area.

Very nice Very clean Good location

The room was very large. The linens and pillows were great. I was surprised that there was beer and wine being offered at the social hour. That's rare.

Did not partake of the breakfast or the social hour in the evening. The first night, when we arrived, I went to see what was available and the floor was so sticky that my shoes were literally sticking to the floor. Someone may have dropped a bottle of the wine or spilled some beer but after that, I didn't have the stomach for attempting to eat any of the appetizers. I did not feel like eating the breakfast either because after the sticky floor, it just didn't seem clean. My room did not help that. The room was outdated and the sofa and chair were so dirty, with holes and stains, that there was no way that I was sitting on them, which was the whole point of booking the suite, rather than a standard double queen. The beds both had broken box springs that made scary noises when we moved on them at times. I spent the whole weekend worried that the box spring would finally give up the fight. The bed might have been a lot more comfortable if it was just on a standard foundation. They need to update the furniture and the bathrooms, big time. The tub looked like it had seem some stuff for sure. There was what appeared to be a cigarette burn in the finish and there were numerous chips in the porcelain. The shower head was not really adjustable. All of the settings were less than powerful and many of the holes were blocked with deposits so the stream was not even. There was a massive dent in the freezer door. But apart from that, the kitchenette seemed to be stocked well with items needed for cooking and some single use coffees and tea.

The location was good,it was quiet and the front desk staff was super helpful and nice. The room was clean and spacious

Unfortunately someone smoked in our room and not a fault of facility. The telltale smell of smoke in room. People (former guests) just are selfish

Excellent staff! We visited for a large inaugural event in the area and the hotel accommodated everyone well. Very comfortable and clean room. Breakfast and coffee were great. Thin walls and floors so bring your ear plugs.
