Tidy place, pub in car park and Asda fuel next door.

Lovely Hotel a little basic, great breakfast

Greeted by a chaotic check-in process at 3pm on Friday, majority of guests attending the races/Tom Jones concert so wanting a quick turn around to get out again, so not ideal, you'd think they'd be more prepared. Our room was hot and facing the main road, so was noisy with the window open (no air-con). Kitchen delivery wagon arrived at 7.36am right below our window, again very noisy. Also has very cheap-feeling thin toilet roll in the bathrooms. Breakfast was ok and was the one redeeming factor. Location wise, fairly handy for the races (around £8.50 in an Uber or a 40 mins walk)

Stayed 2 nights as we were attending Haydock Races over the weekend. Room was more than adequate for our needs, comfy bed, fluffy towels and tea and coffee, just ask at reception if more is needed, they are happy to provide as much as you request. The rooms get very hot and no AirCon in rooms, can be unpleasant for sleeping. Had window open, however I do feel the hotel should stop people smoking at the front entrance, the noise is awful and smoke drifts up to rooms. Hence only 4 stars as the noise is very loud. Bar area, nice and clean and comfy. After a long drive we decided to chance a pizza in the hotel, I have to say it was lovely, clearly freshly baked and the bar/restaurant staff were lovely. Breakfast, both hot and cold food available, ample for our needs and constantly replenished. Overall a good stay, only issues personal to us, no air con and the noise from smokers at all hours at front entrance.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a bar full of young men literally screaming at the TV. Granted England were playing but it wasn’t a great welcome. The curtains were falling from the rails in our room and the corridors smelled of weed. Ok it was only one night as a stop-over on our way up North after the Belfast ferry but it will be a LONG time before I consider an Ibis again! We went across the way for dinner and had a truly awful meal. If I could give this place zero I would! All this before we even try breakfast!!!

Very well priced versus similar hotels in Liverpool city centre . Clean , modern hotel with nice breakfast

Good stay, a bit noisy but was on dual carraige way side, so would expect that.
