Hotel Katuxlan

The property is clean and easy to access. However front desk staff are not helpful and no VIP benefits were provided, even when I asked. They simply stated their hotel provides nothing extra, despite their VIP status with Expedia. Hotel is excessively rigid with 3 pm checkin. If you show up even a minute early, they simply point to there sign. Although my stay was relatively comfortable, which I credit entirely to helpful cleaning staff, I can’t recommend this hotel due to their rigidity and lack of customer care by front desk staff and management.

The hotel was modern and the room was spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect… Across the street from the Malecón and just a couple minutes walk from the center of the historic downtown. The employees were all quite friendly and accommodating. The only negative is that the meals/food are quite costly. I would go elsewhere for that.
