Interstate 8 Motel

When I booked this motel, I was quoted a price. So it stands to reason that I should have been charged that price. The property charged me almost $80 more and knew that they were charging me over the booking price, didn't even tell me, When I told the owner she was not surprised but was really unhelpful about getting a refund. Also this property is not worth $129 a night plus tax I would not pay that I don't know anybody that really would I have never paid that I've stated this property several times and never have I paid $129 a night plus tax. Even though this is one of my favorite motels in Lakeview I will not be going back because of the underhanded way that they overcharged me. I think I could have overlooked it because Expedia did refund it, but I cannot overlook the fact that they did it without even bringing it up to me and had I not looked at the receipt I would have been out that money and $80 is a lot of money to me. Expedia did make it right after 2 days of unnecessary stress, if I wanted to stress I would have stayed home. I had to chat online with a supervisor in order to get the refund, no option anywhere to speak to a person on the phone only chat, the agent didn't offer for me talk to a supervisor I had to request it. Normally I don't like leaving bad reviews but in this case if you stay at this property check your receipts make sure they're charging you the right price. We were greeted by a very friendly lady. She changed our room to accommodate us keeping an eye on our vehicle, That was the only part of our stay we enjoyed.

Walking on the floors barefoot turned my granddaughters feet black. The towels we used to clean the floor after we saw her feet were black. The floor in the bathroom turned that towel black, The walls had what looked like snot all over the walls by the sink. Also, there were towels provided for two guests, not the three staying there.

Location, restaurant across the street from the motel. Close to grocery stores fuel stations and other stores and the event we were attending. old saying you get what you pay for. The price was better than most places in the town.

Properly cleaned the doors were white but black from hands, needed to dust the baseboards and wipe them down, all kinds of residue on the walls that needed to be wiped, the floor was not clean, beds were the only thing that was exceptional in being clean. The smoke alarm was detached and in a drawer. My family had to move to another room due to the bathroom sink not draining. The lady at the front desk was very nice.

The whole experience is great.! The woman at the check in was awesome! A big help all around!

This location was convenient for our trip.

The tub/shower looked horrible: dirty and stained. The floor was dirty and gritty. I wanted to own the window to get fresh air while sleeping, but the stopper to secure the window wouldn’t gone down into the track/groove for safety.

It was clean and comfortable. The reason we selected the hotel was that it included breakfast. The staff told us breakfast was not included due to COVID which has been over for 18 months. There was no offer to discount our room We were not offered to upgrade our room for free. There were only 3 rooms occupied in the hotel.

The only landscaping was a tree and a large rose bush. I had to take the dogs across the street to avoid the goat heads on their property.

It was a last-minute decision to stop and stay there. The lady at the desk was friendly smiling did everything she could to make my stay better I get this place two thumbs way up. I’ve stayed here before and I will stay there again 100%.

Absolutely the rudest clerk I ever encountered at a motel. Place looks like a dirt ball.
