The Naini Retreat, Nainital

Excellent staff, Good food and nice building

Stayed recently for two nights. Had a wonderful experience. Touch of heritage in the hotel. Staff is courteous and friendly, however the manager at the reception could have been more friendly than being indifferent. Food is quite costly on site so need to plan your day accordingly and have food on town before getting to the resort, which is quite a drive from the mall to road. We had breakfast included and the spread is decent. Overall, a good stay and recommend.

This is a great hotel to stay in Nainital. This was our first visit and we believe that we got the hotel with the best location in Nainital. It is a short walking distance from the mall road and the lake and since it is located on the hill, you get an amazing views of hills and the lake. But make sure that you book the rooms facing the hills with the open balcony

The stay was indeed very good. The staff is very co-operative and the service is very good. The toilet could use some renovation and can be maintained well. The rooms were quite good. the comfort level in the property was excellent and overall it is a good place to stay.

The location of the hotel and the service of the staff and hotel was excellent. The hotel was one of the cleanest i have seen in my life. staff was very helpful. Food was just too good and very tasty. Enjoyed a superb holidays with my family.I has a very peaceful and sound sleep all thanks to the beautiful weather and sorrounding environment.

The hotel was very good and comfortable. The service was also excellent. We had a wonderful time there. Other than the hot water not being very reliable, we had no complaints for our stay.

Good Hotel... Very coperative staff..... But the best part of Naini Retreat is its excellent food.... Food was out of the world.... Very good spread.... The two blemishes of the hotel are.... very small & cramped up rooms.....and there is no lift or elevator in the entire hotel. ... So people who have problem with climbing the steep Stairs should avoid this hotel...

To reach hotel through small hilly narrow lanes was a terrible experience. In addition to above the Hotel suits the youngsters as one has to climb 96 stairs (from garden view rooms) to reach the parking place and to reach the reception is almost 75 stairs. Like wise when you have to come back & reach your room. We were 4 persons ( all Senior citizens) occupying 2 rooms w.e.f 24.10.13 to 26.10.12 & suffering from knee arthritis still after come back from Nanital are suffering badly and taking pain killers. I thing while We were planning the booking the fact of approach to the Hotel as well as the fact of climbing up & down to reach the rooms has not been mentioned. I advise the old goodies to look into this aspect before the land in this hotel. The Hotel no doubt is one of the best in Nanital and the staff is also very polite & humble. The restaurant is also very good .

very nice hotel, located bit far from mall road but hotel provides free shuttle service but only till 7pm. They should extend it to atleast 8pm. Hotel staff excellent, fod gr8. Overall excellent experience.
