County Hotel Chelmsford

After check in and paid, I was asked for a refundable £20 for the door key which gave me access to the building where my room was, this is ridiculous and should come with. Thankfully I didn't need to use the carpark facility which was going to be a further £9, as I had booked thru booking.com, if I booked with the hotel itself there be no fee??? Window of budget room overlooked a busy car park, and had no net curtain for privacy . Bathroom very small. Unfortunately, I was woken by young guests at 5.30am and the noise prevented me from sleeping, the rooms should be better noise proof

Great location. Plenty of parking which is £9 a night payable at reception. Room was on second floor , there is a lift which only goes to first floor then some steps to go up. Room really clean, tea/coffee making facilities. Lovely toiletries in bathroom too. Nice food in the restaurant/bar for breakfast and dinner. Staff really friendly.

Creaky floors and able to hear adjacent room bathroom extractor fan even with door closed.

The staff was friendly specially andrea and a guy who got me hot milk

Parking should be free for guest

The apartment was wonderful. Lovely staff, loads of parking and we love Chelmsford.

The location was great. The staff were lovely.

The cottage’s room wasn’t great. The noise level was disturbing.

Great room and very comfortable. The facilities were great and we had everything we needed there. The shower was incredible!
