Algilà Ortigia Charme Hotel

My room was so special being on the top floor with a darling large terrace overlooking the sea. The room was quintessentially boutique in every sense of the word with charm plus all modern necessities from bed to bathroom. There was a sitting area as well. The hotel was in a wonderful location walking distance to everything and the staff extra special as well. The staff was the icing on the cake.

We spent three days in this splendid hotel in the old town, from which you can reach every site by foot, even as far as the archaeological park, within 35 minutes. Staff both in the reception and the breakfast room is friendly, attentive and helpful, why we felt more like guests than visitors. We had a classic double room with balcony, furnished with classic furniture, and a double bed with hard mattresses, that gives a good sleep quality. Our room was directed to a narrow road, but from the balcony we overlooked the ocean. Big bathroom. Cleanness perfect. For breakfast we were offered a variety from the buffet and from a menu. By booking our room we added valet parking, which is highly recommendable, as parking on the Ortygia island is only allowed for residents.
