I loved this hotel. It has old world charm perfectly balanced with modern conveniences. Enjoy an amazing buffet breakfast and barista style coffees. In the afternoon, sit in the comfortable lounge and relax with your favourite beverage in hand. Staff are super friendly. Rooms are very comfortable with decent sized bathrooms.

Great location and property in Ortigia. Right on the water and great views. We had breakfast and a dinner and the food was amazing. Breakfast buffet as well as a menu for eggs. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Four free bikes to borrow, first come, first serve, no reservations.

Absolutely enjoyed my stay in Syracuse. Amenities were good and the hotel's breakfast was excellent. The location also was very good. It is not far from where the main areas are yet is quiet. The staff were also very helpful in helping to recommend and book for restaurants when the hotel one was full. Made the stay really memorable!

We loved everything about this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. Superb location with all of Ortigia within walking distance. We availed ourselves of the valet parking, but there is an under roof parking garage a few blocks away. What made our visit so special was the kind and attentive staff, particularly Adriana. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed with a smile. Thank you Adriana! If we are ever back in Sicily again, we will most definitely be staying at this hotel!

Great location. Our room’s terrace was exceptional. The sea view was wonderful.

The breakfast was good but disappointing. Some things were not replaced in a timely manner. When it was busy, the service for coffee or eggs was slow. The omelettes were skimpy and my fried eggs were supposed to be medium but were less than sunny side up.

The Algila Ortigia Charme Hotel is truly a gem on the historic island of Ortigia in Siracusa. The location of the hotel is ideal; ocean view rooms overlook the Ionian Sea from just steps away and it is about a 10 minute walk to many of the most interesting sites on the island such as the Temple of Apollo, Piazza Archimedes, the Duomo and the daily market not to mention countless cafes and eateries. There's also a beach platform less than five minutes away for sunning and swimming in the crystal-clear water. It is easy to walk around the island but if you come with a car the hotel offers valet parking since non-resident parking is restricted. There are also taxis, tuk-tuks, pedicabs and scooters to hire to get around. The hotel has truly unique and beautifully decorated public spaces and rooms with different features such as terraces, tiled bathrooms and painted ceilings. We were gifted a lovely bottle of wine and cookies in addition to the complementary water and soft drinks provided daily in the room fridge. There is an excellent breakfast, a very good restaurant and an inviting bar lounge for cocktails or coffee. This was my fourth stay at the Algila Ortigia in two years - and I hope to return again soon! The wonderful staff - especially Denise, Magda, Sabrina, Enzo, Piero and Sonia, but really everyone - make all the difference every day with their exceptional service and kindness. They are all so warm and wonderful, helpful and attentive. We were generously gifted a dinner at the hotel restaurant when we arrived and given a voucher for another upon check out. I highly recommend booking a stay at the Algila Ortigia for an unforgettably special experience.

Such a lovely hotel. Beautiful accommodations, helpful and warm staff, delicious restaurant with delightful servers and perfect location, walkable everywhere! Highly recommend!
