Smugglers Cove Beach Resort and Hotel

Close to airport, good place to start if your first visit to Fiji. Biggest problem was the loud music late at night and the hotel next door allowed kids to play in their pool all night long. I didn't sleep much because of this, which was too bad, as I came to Fiji to relax. The other places I went to were better because they were quiet. There is no one to control the area at night which was disappointing...

The staff are very friendly. As it has another resort either side there were some nights the music was a battle between 2 ir 3 if them, great vibe but not so good if wanting to sleep too early. Need to take your own beach / pool towels as towels not easily exchanged. Supermarket conveniently located. Overall very good for a 3 star resort but is an older building.

I had an otherwise enjoyable stay at Smugglers Cove, but I feel it’s important to warn fellow travellers. While visiting, I encountered a man named Bobby Mason (a British citizen from Liverpool) who was regularly seen in the area and staying nearby. He falsely promised financial repayment and ultimately took a significant amount of money from me under misleading circumstances. After speaking with others, I learned this individual has allegedly targeted multiple tourists, often posing as a boxing trainer associated with local promotions. This is no reflection on the staff at Smugglers Cove — who were friendly and helpful — but I encourage management to be vigilant and travelers to exercise caution when meeting new people around the property. Fiji is an incredible country with wonderful people — don’t let a bad actor spoil your experience. Stay safe.

Dinner took forever, wifi wasn't as advertised,

No lift, rooms were smaller and generally property needs an upgrade but the location and vibe is great

Hotel in itself wasn't too bad. Surrounding property is very dirty, rubbish everywhere, and I wouldn't want to swim in the ocean. Plenty other beautiful beaches in Fiji worth visiting over Wailoaloa.

The property is good for people who want to party all night and not for a relaxing holiday

The family suite was very big and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
