Royal Lodge

Everything was perfect. The family room was clean, spacious, and every single mattress was comfortable. Facilities are brilliant. Staff are fantastic. Location is scenic. Loved every minute. Sitting with views of the river for dinner watching blue tits in the nesting box was better than we could have imagined.

The setting near the river is beautiful, the breakfast was excellent. We liked the Separate parking area for hotel guests.

Unfortunately we could not get a taxi service from Monmouth back to the hotel, about a 20 minute drive!

Excellent food. Friendly staff. Light, airy, large bedroom. Comfy bed. Good WiFi and large payable car park. Very quiet location near the river

Access to Symonds Yat East is via single lane and can get very busy. No mobile signal

Very friendly lady on arrival. All staff were very cautious and friendly too. Lovely location with plenty of views. Room was superb, just the bathroom let it down. Definitely be staying again.
