"Good budget room..."

8.0

I Ciliegi was a good hotel for people on a budget. It was a bit far from the center of Florence, but couldn't beat it for the price. The room was clean and had plenty of closet/storage space. The bathroom was a bit small, sort of crammed. The shower had poor water pressure. The breakfast was really good - cold meats, eggs, bread, yogurt w/toppings, cereal, pastries, and a variety of drinks (more than what you usually get in Italian hotels). Overall, can't complain. We enjoyed our stay for the price :)

"Old Hotel"

2.0

a very old hotel; inside out, with old fittings and fixtures in the room.. You really need a car if you want to stay there otherwise you'll spend time waiting for buses or spend lots on taxis.. Breakfast might be good if you are not staying with tour groups. Staff are quite friendly, but nothing much they can do for you.

"Car essential"

10.0

Staff at this hotel were friendly, helpful and had a good sense of humour. The rooms were efficiently air conditioned and there was no disturbance from traffic during the night despite the proximity of the road network. Breakfast was enjoyable, varied, unhurried and much more adequate than some of the ones we had from hotels in Florence.Plenty of fruit was provided. We did not use either the bar or the restaurant facilities so cannot comment on them.Seating areas were spacious and pleasant.

"Staff great...hotel okay"

4.0

Just remember the star rating in the US is not the same as in Europe. Therefore, a 3 star is really a 1 star. What's close to the train is not really that close. If you have international calling, verify everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Amenities, type of bathroom, shower, do they cut the air off at night, internet, how close to the nearest Metro or train station, you get the picture). Ask for a recent picture if you can. Most of those photos were taken when the hotel opened and alot has changed since then. Staff great, but the address was wrong and it was a disaster. By the way the bread is not complimentary like in the US. They bring it, you pay for it. But if you don't mind paying up to 7,50 euros for 3-4 pieces of bread then eat it. Otherwise tell them you don't want the bread and make sure they take it off your bill.

"Far from Florence"

4.0

I was amazed at the ordeal it was to get to hotel. Arriving in Florence from Rome, no one could tell me how to get to hotel. Staff at station helped me get ticket. Travel was through 5-7 other little towns before arriving in the little town of Incesa. Then to find hotel was another adventure! The address had people directing us one way while the city listed had others directing us another way. WE finally arrived at our hotel 2 1/2 hours after getting to Florence. Then, in the am , we needed to find how to buy train tickets as the station is so small there are no employees. For three days, we rode train in to Florence and back again, taking away a lot of 'tourist time' from us. Staff was great though. Rooms were unbearably hot as there was no air conditioning and no screen on windows. WE finally left window open and let the bugs in, in order to sleep. Breakfast was ok. Again, great staff.
